i'm at work. it's currently 8:28 in the morning.
i just picked up the evening shift here. so i'll be working 3:30-10 tonight. hooray more hours. it was pretty sad last night when i was filling out my timesheet. it was the first week since i've worked here where i didn't need a calculator to figure out my hours. normally i do, because there are so many quarter hours and three quarter hours. but last night - nope.
i had a really hard time sleeping last night. i don't think i could get comfortable. and i wasn't really that tired. it was frustrating.
and i woke up and i have a big, red scratch next to my eye.
and my eyes are really hurting this morning. and i wish i had taken my inhaler before coming down to work because my breathing isn't so great.
and remember how the back of my neck was itchy? well, there are also scratches there. but, that might have been from me. i don't know where the scratch next to my eye came from.
i wish i had more exciting things to tell you.
i guess i could make something up. nah, i won't do that. i would never do that.
so i guess i'll eat breakfast when i go back upstairs at 9. then get ready for the doctor's appointment. then come back. maybe eat lunch and take a nap before 3:30. and then work until 10. no staff meeting today.
could this be a possible day where i eat meals at the normal times??? that would be weird, right? all three meals, in the accepted allotted time for eating them.
i just read an article about being a part-time vegan. here's the deal: you don't eat any animal products or processed foods during the first half of the day. then at night, you eat whatever you want. it doesn't really make sense to me, because isn't eating later at night bad for you? and it seems that if you're eating vegan things all morning, you would want to eat like, candy and fried things all night. is that just me?
maybe i'll try it for a week and blog about it. i need to find vegan luncheon items. when should we start?? want to try it with me??
it's amusing to me that when i read the article like, ten minutes ago i was like, "pfff, why would i want to do that?!" and now i'm like, "come on, friends! let's all do it together!!!"
we'll see. too bad i wasn't reading this on the weekend, that way i would say we should try it monday to friday. but now, it's tuesday. i guess we could wait until next monday? i say 'we', but is anybody going to do this? heck, i might not even do it.
I KNOW! how about YOU all try it, and then write about it so I can read it!!! it'd be a role reversal!!!!! that'd be crazy times.
ok, we'll say that IF we are going to do the half-vegan experiment for a week, it will start next monday. and run until friday. that's like, the 10th of august through the 14th. that way we can have all this week, plus the weekend to think about doing it. and to eat lots of candy and fried things.
Misty Green and Blue's Week Long Half-Vegan Experiment 2009!!!!!
oh man. this is like the summer of blog events. now that i've talked about it, i have to do it. and i've gotten myself semi-excited about being half-vegan for a week.
the thing is find is this: when i write about something in my blog, i automatically get more excited about it. like, the drug education class. being half-vegan. judd apatow movies.
i'm writing about it and i'm like, "well, i guess i don't really hate seth rogen." and then i see him on Conan and think, "what a moron!"
and even now, i'm like, 'why am i writing that mean thing about seth rogen? he's so funny! and he looked so great in those plaid shirts he wore in Funny People!'
i don't know. i guess he's a good screenplay writer. he can do something that i cannot, and that is finish a freaking screenplay. go seth rogen. you are the man.
also, he was the voice of one of the characters in The Spiderwick Chronicles and i really liked that movie.
what am i talking about?? he wrote Superbad. and i couldn't even finish that movie.
ok, nevermind. i have to go soon and i don't want to end on a hating seth rogen note. he's canadian. he looks good in plaid shirts. just focus on those two things.
OK THEN.
so, half-vegan for a week? you in? we're all in this together!?!! you jump, i jump?!?!
i can picture us now.....all munching on carrots and celery and reading about drug education. it's really a beautiful picture.
OK! i'm off. have a great day. i'll talk to you soon, promise.

we have a new resident here who has lots of allergies which makes her basically gluten-free-vegan plus a bunch of other things, and when trying to figure out what to buy on the weekly grocery shop, i had the idea that the whole elsewhere community should go on an all-raw, or all-juice diet. wouldn't that be funny!?! to buy everyone's groceries such that they HAD to be on this same weird diet??
ReplyDeletenot really.
i'm not sure if i'm in for the half vegan diet for a week. i'd do a whole vegan diet for a week? I'm in for that?
