MOM: Ya know, I don't really know any Crash Kings music, so I think we should listen to their CD on the way down.
JULIE: Um, DUH that's not even a question.
QUICK UPDATE:
- Rooney and Hanson rocked the heck out of the Cape last night.
- after much practice with initiating Mike hugs, i felt confident enough to reach out and hug Robert Schwartzman. WIN. EPIC EPIC WIN. (and we had a great conversation and he held my hand for about five seconds after.) MORE LATER.
CRASH KINGS TODAY!!!!

LAME NEW PLAN::
∞ I'm going to try and stay awake and NOT take a nap.
∞ that way i won't sleep for three hours and then be really awake at night time.
∞ i think i have enough entertaining things to do to keep me busy until like, 10pm at least.
∞ movies to watch. Jonas to catch up on. things to dye hott pink.
∞ although, i'm getting my 6pm headache. lately i've been getting these headaches in the evening that just won't go away. i think it's my eye drops mixed with the setting sun.
∞ Kerianne sent me an email today and she said, "I just listened to the entire River City Extension CD, and now I'm starting it over again! Yay!" GREAT, right?! i told Kerianne about RCE, she started listening to them, and is going to see them when they're in Chicago! So awesome! Readers, I listen to good music, I promise. You should too.
∞ and if you think i DON'T listen to good music (maybe because i talk about the jonas brothers a lot...) you should start listening to River City Extension anyways, because i can't imagine a person not liking them.
∞ ok. i'm gonna go drink some coffee and dye things hott pink now.

"let me pacify my soul"
Dear Blog Readers,
I am really freaking tired. I think it's a combination of only getting 3 hours of sleep and how excited I was last night. It's catching up with me now.
Went to sleep around 4am. Up at 7am. Got ready for work. Down to work at 8am. It's finally 12:20pm and I have somehow managed to waste enough time for me to only start blogging now. What did I do in the time between 8am and now? Well, I don't really know. I ate some cereal. Drank some coffee. Surfed the web. Did some arts and crafts for about an hour. Listened to music a lot. Started to fall asleep in the rocking chair, but then I woke up.
I keep remembering that I am seeing Crash Kings on Saturday! Well, not remembering, but like, realizing. Because it's not that I forget, it's that I don't believe it is actually happening. Because of how much awesome it is.
Kara was just texting me about how she's totally not excited to see Hanson tomorrow night and how she hates concerts. So, it should be a fun night! I reminded her about 'MMMBob,' but she just said, "yeah, i don't like them." Ah well.
Crash Kings posted a tweet this morning advertising a show they're playing in the UK this November. I felt really proud and so excited for them. They have pretty much sexed up this continent, and now it's time to bring the sexy overseas!! How great is that!??! It was a mini-emotional moment for me.
I'm really excited to see them. And not just see them perform, like, to see them. Hopefully I'll get to say hi. It's been a LONG TIME. Chicago was June 5th. YIKES!
MAN, I'm just realizing that I've done pretty much nothing since I started working again. June 21st. That's a month. I've only had one night off. That's kind of pathetic.
I know what I've done!!! Finally!! In my cleaning out the corners of my living room adventure, I came across my Coconut Records poster that came with one of the CD's I got for Christmas. So I said,
JULIE: OMG, why didn't I hang this up immediately?!
So, I hung it up immediately!! Look at it! It's so great. Actually, the lighting is bad in every room of my apartment, so you can't really see the colors. But, that's teal. It's Jason Schwartzman in front of a pretty teal background. LOVE IT!!!!
Now I smile every time I walk by!!

And I just realized once again that I'll be hanging out with Jason's brother tomorrow night!! And by 'hanging out with' I mean fawning over and trying to get him to fall in love with me. And speaking of Robert, I should be listening to Rooney right now.
Ok, don't worry - I made a new iTunes playlist featuring, Rooney, Hanson, Crash Kings and River City Extension. The four things getting me through this work day. For realz.
Hm.
Finished watching season 5 of How I Met Your Mother last night. awwww. So good. Can I just tell everyone about how good an actor I think Neil Patrick Harris is?? I just think he's so good. Like, he's not just enjoyable to watch, but I actually think he knows what he's doing. A lot of the time I feel like he's acting like he's on stage, and I really like that.
Also, that musical number about wearing suits? AWESOME! Yeah, it was a good season. Can't wait for season 6!
But just for the record: I do not think that Robin is prettier than Lily. Everyone on the show is all about how hott Robin is, and how men just love her and how she's so sexy and pretty. I just do not find her that attractive. I think Lily is the super sexy one.
Hmmm. What else can I tell you about?!!
I watched Thelma and Louise the other night for the first time!! Aw, so great, right?! Yeah, I really liked it. It made me want to become an outlaw. Girl power!
I watched something else too.......
OH! When in Rome. Um, it was pretty silly. Much sillier than Leap Year. I thought it was a really cute plot and idea, but it just kind of failed. Well, no, not failed. Just didn't live up to what I thought it was going to be. Kristen Bell was cute, as always. Her sister was played by the actress who played Ashley in season 6 of Entourage! I didn't like her because she was way too skinny and annoying.
I thought all the guys were funny. Dax Shepard (real-life fiance of K.Bell!), Will Arnett, Danny DeVito and Jon Heder. I liked all of them.
Anyways. Tonight I have 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.' I haven't seen it! The one with Mos Def and Zooey Deschanel. And the guy who plays Jim on The Office in Britain. I feel like I've seen a million trailers for it recently on old movies that I watch and so finally I said, "okay, I have to see this movie."
So, that's all.
Oh, for those of you playing at home, my 'It's Only Wednesday' play count is up to 238 on iTunes.
WOW - it's 1:30!!!! Only 4.5 hours left!!!! I'm hoping I can leave at 5:30 instead of 6. I'm scheduled until whenever the next staff member comes in, and it's usually somewhere in between. Last night she came in at 5:30.
Ok, so read my horoscope for today:
There's some potent, active energy coming your way today, so seize the day. You may want to seize the night as well, for that matter! You don't have to do anything huge or take any life-changing risks -- you just need to make sure you're in the right place at the right time. Luckily for you, almost anything you choose to do should place you there. All you need to do is show up with the right attitude.
It kind of bummed me out, because it makes it seem like something cool and awesome is going to happen tonight if I go out and do something exciting. But, my plan for after work was to go home and take a nap. So now I'm like, "Well that's crap."
What could I be missing out on?? But then I thought, "maybe the universe has another great dream in store for me!!!" Because that would rock. And just as exciting as anything that could potentially happen in real life.
Actually, probably more exciting than anything that could happen in real life. At least to me, anyways.
But now because I said that, there is probably going to be some perfectly awesome situation that I will miss out on. And what will I be doing? Taking a nap.
Also,
I read an article this morning saying that one of the ingredients in Silly Putty is also found in the McDonald's Chicken Nuggets. It really grossed me out. That's so gross! I couldn't believe it. UGH!
Now it's 1:45!! Time always goes quicker in the afternoon. Like, from 11am on.
And in other news: there are some very disturbing things going on with Tally Hall. Specifically related to Joe (red tie) and his absence from the band for recent shows. Apparently, he did not tour with the band when they toured in March. And, they are playing a show tomorrow at the Ann Arbor Arts Festival, which he also won't be performing at.
And nobody from Tally Hall is releasing any kind of a statement about this. It's making me sad. Joe! Red tie! Gorilla! We love him. I love him.
Also, Ann Arbor!! Ah, the city that holds my heart. And that key lime pie fro yo that I want to try someday. And, what a pretty name for a city, right?
Ok. I guess I should maybe go do something?? The thing is, there isn't anything to do. Maybe I'll go upstairs and make lunch and visit Ruby Tuesday for a minute! The hard thing about living at work is that times like right now, where I'm not doing a freaking thing, I keep thinking, "why can't I be upstairs at home doing nothing?" I would keep the phone plugged in in case anyone needed me. Then at least Ruby Tuesday wouldn't have to be alone.
OHHHH I haven't watched the Jonas episode from Sunday yet!!!!!! HOLY MAN I can do that later!!!!!! I'm not sure how I feel about Jonas L.A. I mean, duh, I love it. But, do I like it better than normal Jonas when they're in New Jersey? Um, I don't know. It definitely makes them seem more like famous rockstars and less like normal people.
But, NICK AND MACY PLEASE MAKE OUT ALREADY!!!!! OMG, they are so cute together!
I'm wearing this great purple necklace today with my hot pink, orange and purple dress. I realized that I have not one, but TWO hott pink, orange and purple dresses. One is plaid and one is not. Hott, right? Yep. And the one I am wearing today I got at Wal-Mart for $10. STEAL.
OK. 2PM. Scratch that, 2:01pm. Even better. Every minute counts.
I'm going to go make a sandwich. I hope everyone is having a great day!! It's Thursday!
Take care, friends.
OH, there was one more thing I wanted to talk about. Hm. I'll make it a separate entry later because it's important and I want everybody to read it. :)
OK! Talk to you later!!!

“Nothing is so aggravating than calmness.”
- - - OSCAR WILDE
one of my favorite men in the whole history of the world.
FOLKS - - - I AM EXCITED.
I WAS CHOPPING UP LETTUCE THIS EVENING AND I GOT SO EXCITED I HAD TO DO A FEW LAPS AROUND MY KITCHEN TO CALM DOWN.
(OK I'M GOING TO STOP WRITING IN ALL UPPERCASE.)
true story. i was listening to an iTunes playlist whilst lettucing, and '14 Arms' came on. Crash Kings song. one of my faves. and i thought, "HOLY CRAP I'M SEEING THEM ON SATURDAY!!!!"
and then i remembered that i'm seeing Rooney on friday!!!! that's technically TOMORROW!!!!! and it's not just Rooney - it's HANSON TOO.
for those of you who don't know my middle school aged self - - - i was freaking obsessed with Hanson. the walls in my room were covered - top to bottom, side to side - with Hanson posters. i have NEVER postered anything as much as that room was postered with Hanson. it was insane crazy.
i have only made two scrapbooks in my entire life. let me tell you what they are:
1. a Titanic scrapbook
2. a Hanson scrapbook
ANOTHER TRUE STORY. hanson. scrapbook. YEP. ashamed? heck no! Hanson rules! and when Kerianne and I saw them during the last weeks of our last year in college - they totally rocked! and then we met up with Aliya!!! (and Matt??) (wait, did we see Matt that night??) and we went to Packard's!!!!! GREAT night.
omg i had planned to wear a dress today, but maybe i'll wear my Hanson t-shirt instead.
no, i think i'll still wear the dress.
anyways. Rooney and Hanson TOMORROW. and then Crash Kings on saturday. i was thinking about Crash Kings in relation to Titanic tonight. i saw Titanic 7 times in the movie theater when it came out. i was in 6th grade. 7 times is alot of times to see a movie.
and i've seen Crash Kings 11 times. 11! i should start using exclamation points instead of the number one.
number of times i've seen Crash Kings = !!
um, LOVE IT. that's how excited i am. what else have i done !! (11) times? i mean like, something substantial that i've done. not like, sleep. grocery shop. washed my hair. like, REAL stuff. not much.
okay, let me clarify: i've seen Titanic WAY more than 7 times. the number of times i've seen that film is countless. COUNTLESS. there was that one week i watched it like, 7 nights in a row. normal version. james cameron commentary. cast commentary. pop up trivia commentary. behind the scenes video pop up commentary. historical commentary. (there's a lot of commentary on the 3-disc special edition.)
and i've listened to the Crash Kings record WAY more than !! times. my iTunes says that 'It's Only Wednesday' has played 234 times! and that's just on my laptop! my iPod? geeze louise, that would probably be thousands. seriously. probably 200 times just with Ryan! for realz. like the trip to Philadelphia and back when we ONLY listened to that.
(PS: 'It's Only Wednesday' count up to 235.)
ANYWAYS. what am i talking about? i guess the point is that i get very excited very often.
BUT THE FUN DOESN'T STOP AFTER SATURDAY!!!!!!!
because my little sister Kara turns 21 IN EXACTLY ONE WEEK!!!! and we're going to go out drinking margaritas.
and then two nights after that!!!!! RIVER CITY EXTENSION IN NEW JERSEY!!!!! yes, i am driving to their home state and i am so very super freaking excited to see them again. i kind of feel like we're all best friends?? is that weird a little?? maybe??
i was driving today during a total downpour and 'Ballad of Oregon' came on. and i got so excited. i couldn't stop smiling! and i was like:
JULIE: Julie! You need to pay attention to the horrible downpour that you are driving in!!! Stop singing along so loudly!!!
needless to say, River City Extension is good thunderstorm music.
anyways, now me and Joe, who is the lead singer, are friends on Facebook. and that is awesome too. yes, it was a very exciting time to get that email that he wanted to be friends.
there's this van for sale that i drive by on my way home to Maine and every time i pass it i think:
JULIE: I should buy that for River City Extension.
and then i think,
JULIE: Wait - where am I going to get $250?!?!
just like when there was that RV for sale a few streets down from my house in Maine and i would think,
JULIE: I should buy that for Crash Kings.
i'm sure they would love an RV. just like i'm sure River City Extension would like an extra van. although, they've got that great red van that i just remembered. i saw a picture of it on Twitter and it was awesome.
HERE'S THE POINT OF THIS ENTRY::
i am very excited about the events that will take place in the next week and a half or so. VERY EXCITED. so excited that it will probably be hard for me to complete simple, daily tasks. like chopping lettuce.
this afternoon i managed to keep it together at the hospital to talk to an important doctor-type. i think i was pretty credible. even with my teal hair.
and now just a boring life update:
i'm working until 6pm today. i'm working right now. and i work until 6. and then work again at 9. and THEN have friday and saturday off.
but, here's the weird part: the resident who lives here will be at work allll day. so, i have no idea what i'm going to do. her baby will be in daycare. 8pm until 6pm. well, she'll be home at 4, i think. but still. what am i going to do?
keep your eyes peeled for a minute-by-minute blog update. REALITY BLOG. i'll probs bring some arts and crafts projects down to work on. and some coffee. and also maybe some cereal. once i brought down my whole container of soy milk and the whole box of chocolate cheerios. that was a good day.
OH, ALSO: had a totally great dream last night. like, maybe one of the best dreams i've ever had. well, actually, i don't know about that. i've had a lot of great dreams.
i spend my whole day daydreaming. and daydreaming is easier than night dreaming because in daydreaming you can have anything you want happen. but night dreaming is harder because you don't have as much control! so when things turn out perfectly, it's wonderful. and things turned out perfectly in my dream last night.
and i slept straight through from 7:20am until noon. so, it was a nice, long, perfect dream. and it turned my whole day perfect. NOTHING got me down today. nope. not one thing.
actually, okay, one thing. i went to the drug store and was bummed/surprised that my inhaler medicine was $20.99. that was crap! i was expecting $12 or $13. but $20.99!!!!! outrageous! ah well, i needed it. i've been wheezing at nighttime more. i think it might be because Ruby Tuesday has moved her sleeping place to closer to my face. i know i should move her, but she's so cute! and sweet and cuddly and she's just a baby.
this morning i was trying to get to sleep and she just kept bringing toys up onto my bed! the round white thing. the orange mouse. she's the best.
OKAY. it's currently 2:29am. i have to be awake at 7am to get ready for work!!! that will probably turn into 7:30am. or heck, 8am, like it did the other week, when i needed to be at work at 8, but didn't wake up until 8. the joys of having a short commute! or, zero commute.
alright, have great days. i'll talk to everybody later!!! take care. be well. drive safe. drink water.
☃ ✈ ☎,
Julie

☃ ✈ ☎,
Julie

i like your beard
OK - it's been far too long since my last update, and i would like to first apologize. SORRY. i'm sure i had you all on the edge of your seats waiting for news about my terribly awesome exciting life.
HERE IT IS!!!!!
:: nothing new is going on. yay!
:: actually, this weekend was great. i was home on saturday and spent the day with family, which was really nice. then saturday night got even more awesome:
I SAW ALIYA!!!! yep, THAT Aliya! she was on annual vaca with her fam in Ogunquit, ME and so i made my annual trip over to see her!!! which was so great. we drank fancy coffees and sat on the beach for many hours. it was lovely. soooo good to see her again! and so soon! the last time i saw her was in Chicago!!!
i got home around 1:30am that night, which was crazy because normally i have to be at work at 10pm! but i had the night off!!!!! GREAT! first night off in like, 3.5 weeks, so that was really nice.
and now BACK AT WORK. i'm working right now.
OH, but more on the weekend...
:: so, sunday i hung around with Kara. we had to go out and do some errands in the afternoon, then we went to the gym, then we went out to get fancy hot dogs at this new hot dog place called Monkey Dogs. crazy, to say the least. but delish.
then kara drove back home with me!!!! i LOVE it when she does! we have the funnest rides.
i also discovered the song, 'Your Love is my Drug' by Ke$ha. um, i love it! and i can't wait to dance to it at a dance party. because i have in my mind that a dance party needs to happen. so, if anyone has any thoughts on that... you can let me know.
ANYWAYS, we went to bed kind of early on sunday night. everyone was tired.
monday, we went out for breakfast. kara, my dad and me. it was nice! came home. took naps. went out for dinner in the evening. and then, sadly, they had to go back to maine.
i actually had a really productive night after they left!!! i said to myself, "NO MORE PHONE ALARM CLOCK!!!!!" because, we all know that it never works. and every time i trust it to work, it fails me.
so, remember when i built that little blue table from IKEA?? well, that table quickly became a junk table. a place to hold all the junk and useless things that somehow find me.
last night i said, "NO MORE!" and cleaned off the table. i brought it into my bedroom and am now using it as my ALARM CLOCK TABLE. a REAL alarm clock.
actually, i should clarify. i'm using it as a CD player to play lullabies at nighttime, while my iPod alarm clock is my real alarm. i burnt a CD of lullabies*
*including two new ones:
- lullaby version of 'Love Lockdown' by Kanye West
- lullaby version of 'War Pigs' by Black Sabbath (the great cover song that Crash Kings do.)
so, it's a great new setup in my room AND a great new clean space in my living room! this has inspired me to keep cleaning. so, that might happen. i kind of did some more this afternoon while i was looking for my jewelry making pliers. i found them! and did some organizing along the way.
PRODUCTIVE!!!! then i came to work and looked at a photo recap of Lindsay Lohan's Journey to Jail. yep. that was enjoyable. i also did some real work stuff like printing and faxing and phone calling and baby holding. it was actually pretty busy for a while.
and now things have calmed and i'm blogging.
tonight: should be a good night. we have to run out to the store, but that shouldn't take long.
may i remind you about this upcoming weekend? yes i may.
FRIDAY = ROONEY AND HANSON!!!!!!! performing together at last!!!! on CAPE COD!!!!
SATURDAY = CRASH KINGS!!!!!!!! performing in Portsmouth, NH!!!!!! sooo close to my house it's crazy!!!!
and i am SO FREAKING EXCITED FOR ROONEY that i keep forgetting about Crash Kings! true story! and i kind of can't believe it! like, i can't believe that THAT MUCH awesome will be happening in my life in just two days.
and MY MOM is coming to Crash Kings with me and i can't wait!!! i think she will soon be a Crash Kings fan, as is everyone who sees them live. so exciting!!!
and then NEXT WEEK is Kara's birthday!!!!!! my little sister is turning 21 years old. TWENTY-ONE. omg that is so crazy to think about. i remember the night she was born! and next week, we'll be drinking margaritas together!
and then River City Extension on the 31st. if i can't get anyone to go with me, i just may go by myself. if i hadn't been to Starland Ballroom before, i probably wouldn't. but, since i've been there, it makes it easier.
and then the beginning of August is so much Crash Kings awesome amazingness i can't even describe it.
alright - we're going on a quick errand!
hope everyone is having a great night! my friend in Kansas City is going to see PAPER TONGUES and NEON TREES tonight!!!!!! and i hope she has a super wonderful time.
i PROMISE i'll talk to you again soon!!!! have a great week!!!!!

lavender all the time
guess what?!
i bought lavender oil! at the health food store! which - TOTALLY ROCKS. i've lived up here for 1.5 years and it's taken me that long to get to the health food store. i love it in there! so many expensive things! so many vitamins! so many oils! tofutti cuties! and a 'make your own trail mix' section! how great!
anyways, i bought the lavender oil because i read that it's supposed to keep out all bugs. including: earwigs. which, are abundant in my apartment again this summer. and they are sogross and soscary and ihatethem.
so, i sprinkled drops of the lavender oil around my kitchen. i didn't do the living room because the smell was so overpowering that i figured i'd see how it worked and go room by room.
SMELLY. yep. everything smells like lavender oil!
the first night, i didn't kill any bugs in the kitchen. but last night i did. so that was a bummer.
i actually haven't seen as many earwigs since sprinkling the oil, but i don't know if that's just a coincidence or not.
anyways, the health food store has a tiny cafe that had delicious sounding sandwiches, so we got sandwiches! which weren't as delicious as they sounded. too much bread. not enough spread. but, i had a totes delish pomegranate limeade Odwalla. i had never seen that kind before, and i loved it.
and speaking of delicious things:
last night i made a great sandwich. i had some tofu in my fridge that needed to be used. so i cut some strips and soaked it in soy sauce for about 15 minutes. you can't do it too long or else it'll get too salty. then i put it on some multigrain bread and put a slice of cheddar cheese over it and stuck it in the toaster until the cheese was melty and the bread was crispy.
then! remember how i bought that peanut sauce that turned out to be really spicy even though it said 'mild?' i took that sauce, and spread it on the bread - and then - also spread some mayo on the bread to cut down on the spicyness.
RESULT = BEST SANDWICH EVER. omg it was ssooooooo good i never wanted it to end. but, it did end. and it was a sad time in my life.
mmm a great sandwich is a wonderful thing.
ANYWAYS.
last night i went to a chocolate party! yes, a chocolate party. it was like Pampered Chef or Avon - but 100 times better obvi because it was all about chocolate. DELISH chocolate that we got to sample a lot of in many different forms.
we had:
:: chocolate covered, cinnamon dusted almonds
:: tiny chocolate peanut butter baking bits
:: merlot hot fudge sauce
:: double chocolate chip cookies
:: white chocolate smoothies
:: chocolate covered fruit (cranberries, cherries, blueberries)
:: chocolate covered graham crackers
YEP. yep. we had all that. most of it in tiny portions, though. but it was a very exciting time.
one of my coworkers was hosting the party, and i didn't think i would know anybody else there, because i hadn't heard that anybody else was going. so, i get there, walk in, and see Courtney!!!! that was really exciting. so i sat next to her. and then!! Diane came also!! so that was really fun.
it's really nice to see coworkers outside of work. especially since i always see everybody here, because i live and work in the same place. so seeing people in other atmospheres is good.
it was a fun time at the chocolate party. and i ordered yummy things which i am very excited to get!
hmm. what else can i tell you about?! the tofu sandwich and the chocolate party were the really important things.
i'm going to maine tomorrow.
ok. i'm done. that's all for now.
oh. SHOW PLUG:
if you're in West Chester, PA tonight you should definitely go out and see River City Extension play at The Note. cool place. parking garage close. GREAT BAND. as of yesterday, i am now following them all on Twitter. it's a good thing.
OK! have a great afternoon/early evening. i'll be talking to you all again soon!
love,
Julie

let's buy a house!
hi friends:
who wants to buy this house with me?!
every time i drive by this house, i want it. i want it so bad. i think it's so pretty! kind of like a dollhouse. and i found it online and it's really pretty on the inside too. lime green walls!! it was made for me!!!
so, it's 4 bedrooms. 1.5 bathrooms. plus a huge barn!! on 3.78 acres. built in 1890. going for $299,000. i think that's a lot of money. especially since the house is on a busy road. i bet we could get it down some.
so.... great! who's in?
but, the bummer side is that it's in Epsom, NH. not typically known as a paradise, if you ask me. so, we could either go 'Up' style and float the house somewhere else.....or, we could buy this other house:
Villa Carolina
that i have wanted to buy for literally YEARS. like, maybe 3 years, i've wanted this house. DREAM HOUSE. yep. this is it. a gorgeous villa located in Capri, Italy.
here's my plan for this house: buy it. fix up the exterior so it's beautiful. fix up the gardens so they are beautiful. and then the best part: get married to Leonardo DiCaprio in the house. yep!
you know how i said a while back that i had wedding destinations picked out all over the world? well, this is one of them. if i ever should marry Leo, we will buy this house, renovate it, and then get married in it. and it will be perfect.
but, even if i don't end up marrying Leo, i still want the house. maybe Kara will want to buy it with me? or for me??!
ohhhh i think this is the most beautiful house i've ever seen. i love it so much.
anyways! i thought i'd share my future plans with you. they either include living in Epsom, NH or Capri, Italy. hmm...
GOODNIGHT!!!

hott pink plaid
i'm at work right now. and i'm so bored. i could fall asleep in like, 5 minutes. i'm so bored. i don't even feel like doing the normal things i do when i'm bored at work, because i get so bored with them. ohhh geeze.
and i have a headache. i'm not sure why.
this weekend was pretty good. worked on saturday. went home on sunday because my uncle and cousin were up. that was nice.
then kara drove back with me and slept over here sunday night. monday she made me breakfast in bed! no kidding! then she made me sugar cookies. then we watched Entourage and then drove into Concord where we went to Old Navy. and then out to dinner.
oohhhh it was so much fun. and then i drove her to maine, and then i had to drive back up here. i hate that drive so much. it's terrible.
last night i watched Date Night. i liked it a lot. i thought it was really funny. i just love Tina Fey so much. always have, always will.
today, we had staff meeting from 12:30 to 2:30. and i'm working now, 3:30-10. it's currently 7pm now. i wish it was the weekend again. i have saturday night off! wasn't planned, but my boss asked if i wanted it off. so i said yes! so, i'll drive back home saturday morning and come back up here sunday evening. nice!
BORED. SO BORED. bored to death. not that bored. but i do wish Jason Schwartzman were here. get it? Bored to Death? the tv show? ahaha... so funny.
Marie Antoinette is playing in the living room right now, speaking of Jason. good movie.
i don't even know what to say!
OH! i bought Rooney tickets online today!!! for me and kara!!!! well, actually they are:
Hanson with special guests Rooney tickets. THEY STILL ROCK. and i'm really really excited.
NEXT FRIDAY!!!! and i've been so excited about seeing them that i keep forgetting that the next day will be Crash Kings!!!!! it's gonna rock so effing hard. it will be like the FIRST TIME I saw Crash Kings when they opened for Rooney. except now i know who they are and they're super famous.
so great.
anyways. what else. i did all my work i need to do tonight. so now it's just about wasting time until i can go home. i'm excited. my dad is coming back up here tonight. so that's nice. and i'm excited to see Ruby.
i kind of still have a headache and it's annoying. i'm so tired. the past two nights i've gotten into bed early! like, between 2-2:30am. and i've had very, very good sleeps. which is unusual.
hmmmmm
today in staff meeting we learned about children who experience trauma and how it effects their adult lives. it was super interesting and depressing at the same time. it was mainly about Ohio and how they prosecute juveniles in the court system. and this one judge realized that they can't prosecute every child the same, because some children have gone through such trauma they don't need punishment, they need treatment. and so Ohio started this whole Trauma Task Force which is about educating communities on how to treat these kinds of children.
oh, it was so interesting. and angering. very angering to then realize that most people in this country simply care about the punishment. not just for children, but for adults, too. everybody's like, "REVENGE! PUNISHMENT!!!! PUNISHMENT!!!!" when most of the time they should be saying, "wow, this person has has such a traumatic past, let's get them treatment so they can try and deal with this."
and money for the treatment is exactly what's being cut from this state's budget and i'm sure other states around the country.
changing subjects:
i had a turkey and cheddar cheese sandwich today and it was delish. i made it. and it was so great. and i toasted the bread and melted the cheese. totes yum.
i'm hungry now.
AND!!! in other news:
one of my readers graciously offered up her house to River City Extension after reading about it in this blog!!! so that's wonderful and awesome. so, REMEMBER, it's never too late to help a band out.
ALRIGHT! i guess that's it. for now. probably for tonight. because i'm tired. tomorrow i have a meeting at 12:30. and then i'm working 3:30-6pm. and then i have to go out and buy Ruby Tuesday food because she's pretty much all out. and i had a dream last night that i went out and bought her food.
ok! hope everyone is having a great night! talk to you soon!
♥,
Julie

i kind of still have a headache and it's annoying. i'm so tired. the past two nights i've gotten into bed early! like, between 2-2:30am. and i've had very, very good sleeps. which is unusual.
hmmmmm
today in staff meeting we learned about children who experience trauma and how it effects their adult lives. it was super interesting and depressing at the same time. it was mainly about Ohio and how they prosecute juveniles in the court system. and this one judge realized that they can't prosecute every child the same, because some children have gone through such trauma they don't need punishment, they need treatment. and so Ohio started this whole Trauma Task Force which is about educating communities on how to treat these kinds of children.
oh, it was so interesting. and angering. very angering to then realize that most people in this country simply care about the punishment. not just for children, but for adults, too. everybody's like, "REVENGE!
♥,
Julie

Hey everyone,
So tour is only 3 weeks away, and could not be more excited to hit the road. Unfortunately, there is a lot of us going, and it's a super expensive trip, so hotels are not an option for us. Basically, we're asking if we can sleep over. If you live in, or under an hour from any of the cities we are playing this August, we need to humbly request your floor space for an evening, before we shove off the next morning for the following date. If you're able to house us, or find someone who can, let us know. We will make sure you get into the show in your city free of charge, and get taken care of etc. Thank you, we love you all a lot, and look forward to seeing you this summer.
Joe
Yes, that's the same Joe who emails me back when I email him. From the one minute real-life group conversation I had with him in NYC, and from the emails he sends, he seems like a lovely person. They all seem like really lovely people. And they're super awesome because they're in River City Extension.
WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY NEXT POINT:
They need places to stay. And you right now reading this are a wonderful person. And wouldn't you love you have a super great band stay in your house? And give you free tickets to their show??? Yes, I think you want that.
You'd be super helping them out, and then getting free concert tickets in return. WIN. WIN.
So, here's what I'm going to do: I'm going to post their tour schedule RIGHT HERE IN THIS ENTRY and you will look and see if your city, or another city within an hour away, are on this list.
OK, let's do that now:
VIENNA, VA - 6 AUGUST

"you wouldn't've jumped."
sooooooo hi.
guess what? i'm at work right now! which is where i always am. because i work here. and i live here. the baby just fell asleep, so i'm taking a minute to blog. because i've missed you all.
so, the last time i talked to you was a few days ago. i had just gotten back from court in Brattleboro. yep. ummm.... not much is going on.
i just finished watching Avatar. i started it last night and watched the last half hour this morning. i probably should't've done that because the last half hour is all war and battle scenes, which i didn't like, so it turned the whole movie sour.
geeze, it was just so loud! all the explosions and gunfire. i didn't like it.
overall, i thought the movie was okay.
(as with all cinema) i started the movie thinking, "this isn't going to be as good as Titanic." i generally think that about all things in life.
and - it wasn't. that i can be firm in my belief - it was not as good as Titanic. even in terms of storyline and dialogue, i thought Titanic was stronger. and, i can be unbiased about Titanic and say that the dialogue is not very good. but i thought the dialogue in Avatar was even worse. it just sounded so FAKE. like, it seemed like it was a struggle for the actors to even say it.
and then you read the credits and it takes like, an hour to go through all the names of the visual effects people. and then just, "written by James Cameron."
i was talking to Aliya last night and we were just generally talking about Avatar and she said,
ALIYA: If they had put even half of the effort into the script and storyline as they did the visual effects, it might have been a really good movie.
and i totally agree with her and couldn't have said it better myself.
YES, the visual effects were pretty incredible. i mean, everything looked REAL. like, REALLY REAL. just like it was happening in real life. REALITY. but it wasn't. and even that was kind of a bummer for me. it LOOKED real. but it WASN'T. none of it was! and in today's cinema where everything is based on a book, based on a poem, based on a play, based on a short story..... nothing is original anymore. and, even though this was an "original" (as in, same old plot that's in every movie) story, it still seemed so fake.
and i mean, Titanic was incredible because they actually BUILT everything and then destroyed it. and added in some effects afterward. i mean, tons of tiny and huge models.
i don't know. i guess i was just bored through it. i didn't really like any of the characters. i didn't even really understand what was happening until he actually went into the jungle. and even then, i still had questions.
it started and i sat down with Ruby and was like, "i don't even really know what the word 'avatar' means..." and so i was confused for the first like, half hour.
and then listening to Sam Worthington more and more it was like, "wait, has he been Australian throughout the whole movie?"
ALSO - i thought it was TOTALLY CREEPY whenever they would attach their ponytails to things to form that halo bond. the first time that happened it made me cringe. oooo yeah i didn't like that.
i REALLY LIKED the moment between (i don't even know their character names....) (um, hold on) ok, between Jake and Neytiri at the end when she saw him as the real person and not as the avatar. yeah. that part almost made me cry. it was really sweet.
and i like how everything was glowing at nighttime. that was super pretty.
Ruby Tuesday actually stayed awake for a lot of it. i think she maybe liked watching it? and hearing all the noises? the other movie she really seemed to be interested in was Coraline. so, maybe she likes digital films like that.
i like Coraline better that Avatar, just for the record.
ANYWAYS. so that's my review. slash rant.
OH!!!!!!! ONE MORE THING THAT I LOVED: there was a character named Trudy!!! just like in Titanic!! Trudy was Rose's maid! remember??? no, you probably don't. unless you're Maria.
i heard someone say 'Trudy' and i was like, "omg did they just say Trudy!? no, they couldn't've. noo.....OMG YES THEY DID!!!!!" it was very exciting.
ok. i think that's it.
i'm going to Maine tomorrow. just for the day. then back here for work tomorrow night.
SO! everyone take care! have a great rest of the weekend!!!! i'll talk to you all later :)

Julie

"be better, my dear lady"
THAT'S the other lyric from River City Extension that i love. remember i was trying to think of it? i love how he calls her, a 'dear lady.' those are two lovely words. dear and lady.
oh, and speaking of River City Extension, guess who emailed me today?
UM, JOE. THE LEAD SINGER. yes. i returned from court today to find a lovely email from 'Joseph' in my inbox. i was so totally excited i had to keep reminding myself that i was at work so i couldn't freak out.
i had emailed him a while back to thank him for emailing me the bonus song, Ballad of Oregon. and i also included some other stuff, like how it was a bummer they couldn't make it to the Portland, ME show, how i loved reading their blog.... etc.
and he emailed me back again! ohhhh it was lovely.
and THIS, plus the Blood Feathers tweet, plus the tweet from Robert Schwartzman makes me feel pretty happy.
anyways. i was watching the baby sleep, but he's awake now and his mother is home.
going to court today was fine. super quick and easy. met a very attractive social worker, which was nice. the resident who i was bringing ended up driving back to the house with her dad, so i drove by myself. which worked out well because i listened to River City Extension the whole way!!! nice change from the Eminem cd we listened to the whole way there.
in other news: i think my toilet was fixed this morning. the executive director went up to my apartment and came down with some broken parts. and i know he went out to the hardware store after. so, i'm hoping it's fixed. that'd be great.
in other news: i bought a dress yesterday for $10 at wal-mart. it's hott pink with neon orange and purple. YEP. i tried to restrain myself from buying it. but i wasn't strong enough. $10! hott pink! and the purple in the dress matches my new purple nailpolish perrrrfectly. so it's a win win.
in movie news:
- i watched It's Complicated. loved it. laughed a lot. really loved the whole family dynamic. loved Meryl's house. loved everything.
- watched Leap Year. really liked it. pretty silly, but great. Amy Adams was totally beautiful, i thought. especially the middle part where her hair is in the ponytail and they kiss at the table for the first time. yeah, i thought she was gorgeous. i laughed SO HARD when she tried to pronounce the guy's name in the bar. his name is 'Eoghan,' which i knew from being in Ireland last year is pronounced 'Owen.' but, listening to her try and say it was so funny and made me think of how much fun we all had.
i also have Avatar with me, which, i am ashamed to admit - i haven't seen yet. I KNOW. please don't judge me. not sure if i'll get to watching it tonight because it's pretty long. and i'm pretty tired. maybe i'll start it? i don't know.
but, i'm doing pretty well, non-sleep wise. i've been at work for just about 10 hours. and i'm super ready to go home. hasn't been a busy day, but that trip to Brattleboro is like an hour and 15 minutes each way, so that's tiring. it was nice to split up the day, though.
BUT - yeah i'm ready to go home.
and i have 3 hours off - and then back to work!!!! i'm not sure what i'll do with my 3 free hours. probably hang out. i don't want to take a nap because i want to try to get back on a semi-normal sleep schedule. but, that may never happen.
ANYWAYS. i think that's it. hope everyone is having a great day!!! talk to you again soon :)

Julie

um, AWESOME!!
UNANIMOUS. well, almost unanimous. about the clothing choice. EVERYBODY chose the brown dress with white cardigan - WHICH I'M WEARING RIGHT NOW.
We had a total of 8 votes. 7 people chose the brown outfit and 1 person chose the brown, orange and teal plaid dress.

That's right now!!! Like, just a minute ago I took that. I would have a full photo shoot, but I'm at work right now and want to appear professional. Even though there's nobody else here.
ANYWAYS,
THANK YOU for helping me choose my outfit for today! I admit, it was not what I would have chosen, and it surprised me that everybody picked it! And I haven't worn this dress in a long time. So, it's good that everybody picked it. I'm wearing it and thinking, 'why haven't I worn this dress in so long?' And now I remember that I like it, and will wear it more often! Great!
We leave for court in like, 45 minutes.
Anyways. Here's something else exciting!
So, the night last week where I watched all the episodes of Bored to Death, there was one episode that caught my eye. (i mean, they were all eye catching, as they all starred Jason Schwartzman.)
But! The 5th episode, 'The Case of the Lonely White Dove, in which Jonathan investigates his case out on Brighton Beach in this Russian nightclub, was particularly inspiring.
At one point, Jonathan (played by Jason Schwartzman) calls his ex girlfriend to invite her out to the nightclub because she has always wanted to go to Brighton Beach. His girlfriend, Suzanne (played by Olivia Thirlby) is shown here, answering his phone call while out walking her dog.
Now, please look very closely at the pictures, as there is something most awesome to notice.

and NO - it's not her totally hott, fashion forward HOTT PINK TRENCH COAT. It's her totally great PURPLE NAIL POLISH. I know it's super hard to see, but it's there. And it's awesome.
I saw it and thought, "HOLY CRAP why don't I have awesome purple nail polish?!!" I have a light purple shade, which is what I was currently wearing, but I didn't have a great shade like hers. So, I went out and bought some! And I'm wearing it now, and it's great.
Yep. I love that show. Can't wait for season 2!
So, last night I set my phone alarm clock for 7am, because I had to be at work by 8am. And, I finally fall asleep around 4am. Lame.
Did my phone alarm go off? No. No it did not go off. So, I woke up at exactly 8am! The time I was supposed to be at work. GREAT. It made me momentarily very stressed out. But, at least I knew what I was going to wear! I rushed getting ready, but still had time to straighten my hair. I THOUGHT I had turned on my coffee pot to make coffee, but I didn't.
So, I don't even have coffee. I think I'll stop on my way to Brattleboro.
But - yet another reason why I dislike my phone. WHY is the alarm so sketch? Or, the better question is why do I keep trusting that it will work when I need to be awake for important things?? Yeah, that doesn't make sense.
Hm. So yeah. I have my CD player alarm clock with me. What I should do, is burn a lullaby CD so I can play that in the CD player and then use my iPod alarm clock, which works great. Yeah. I should do that. Change my set up.
UUGGHHH I'm kind of DREADING going to court. I haven't been in such a long time. Probably a year. It just always makes me so nervous.
OH OH OH OH!!!!!! I HAVE TO TELL YOU ANOTHER AWESOME THING!!!!!!! Yeah, SO AWESOME. OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT TO TELL YOU.
I got yet another awesome tweet from awesome people!!!!! From who, you ask?
BLOOD FEATHERS!!!!!! The totally great Philadelphia band who opened for Crash Kings when Ryan and I saw them in Philadelphia!

(We're headed to Boston in October. Help us get the word out. Love the Sweet Tea pic.)
AAHHHHHH SOOOO AWESOME!!!! A while back (like, early May, I think) I had sent them a picture of a sweet tea I bought because I felt like one after listening to their song, 'Sweet Tea.' Love it! But, I haven't tweeted them since! Yeah, that's pretty awesome.
So, I'm gonna start now:
BOSTON. OCTOBER 7. BLOOD FEATHERS AT THE ROYALE.
Oh, I'm totally gonna get the word out. Remember when I had that 'Crash Kings on Jimmy Kimmel' sign at the top of this blog to promote Crash Kings on TV? I think I may construct a sign for Blood Feathers. I'm so excited!!
I also thought about putting up posters in Boston. But, it's a bit too early for that. Anyways - they can count on me. And maybe Ryan will help too!! Since, she'll actually BE in Boston.
So awesome.
Anyways, I should get going. It's 9:58am. We're leaving in like, 15 minutes.
I hope everyone has a great day! Please think of me when I'm freaking out in court. I'm working until 6pm, so I'm sure I'll talk to you later.
Until then, take care!!! Be well!! Stay cool!!
love, Julie

So awesome.

YOU DECIDE:: COURT OUTFIT
this is like one of those, 'choose your own ending' blog entries!
I did this once before when I had to go to court and you all picked out a great outfit for me! Thanks again! And, now that I am scheduled to go to court TOMORROW, THURSDAY, JULY 8TH, I need your help again!
The courthouse is in Brattleboro, Vermont, and the last time I was at this courthouse, it was pretty casual. It should be a really quick thing.
WHICH OUTFIT, should I wear?!
OUTFIT #1: Dress, Gap. Navy blue dress with different sized flowers in different shades of purple. I would probably wear it with black leggings and my black flats. Probably bring my yellow cardigan in case of overpowering air conditioning. Maybe also wear with my pearls.

OUTFIT #2: Dress, Old Navy; Cardigan, Target. Halter-style brown dress with white detail. Would not wear a necklace with this dress. Not sure what shoes either... possibly my tan, open-toed platform shoes. My sparkly gold flats?

OUTFIT #3: Dress, Target; Cardigan, Old Navy. Here we have a brown, orange and teal plaid strapless summer dress with flowery design on the bottom. I would definitely wear this with brown leggings. For shoes, either the sparkly gold flats or the tan open-toed platform shoes. The thing that's special about this one is that I made a necklace especially to wear with this dress, so that's what I would wear.

ALRIGHT, FRIENDS! I PUT MY TRUST IN YOU TO DECIDE!!!!!!
Please respond with your selection in the comments section, or by the blog email address located on the left of your screen.
THANK YOU!!!!

bummer thursday
i don't want to complain. but, i'm not excited about tomorrow. thursday. 7/8.
i'm working 10pm wednesday night until 6pm thursday. not only is that a long stretch, but i have to go to court in Brattleboro, VT in the morning. i'm not a fan of courthouses because they are just full of people who think they're better than you.
so, that will be a bummer time. plus, i have to look nice. and it's so hott that it might be kind of impossible to look nice. i'll probably wear a dress. if i remember correctly, the court in Brattleboro is pretty casual. maybe just a sundress and cardigan? ugh, i don't know.
anyways, so i'm working until 6pm. then i have 3 hours off. and then i work again, 9pm to 8am.
MORE BUMMER.
i've been working for 2.5 weeks straight. i guess i'm just not used to it, after having 3 straight months off. and i'll be working straight up until JULY 23, which is my first night off!!!!! and it's a good night off, because it's THE ROONEY CONCERT!!!!! AND HANSON!!!!!!
and then the next day is CRASH KINGS!!!!!!
well, i'll work for like, a month straight, and then i'll have 9 days off all really close to each other. and they will include most awesome things like:
- kara's birthday on 29 july!
- 4 crash kings shows
- 2 river city extension shows
- 1 rooney/hanson show
and i'm pretttyy sure i can get all those days off. i've been working out my vacation time and regular 2 nights off a month, plus the july 4th holiday.... and it should be enough!!!!!!
although, after the 8th of august i may not have another night off until september....
BUT, i am very positive that the after-excitement from all those awesome, amazing concerts will last a while. i can go pretty long on concert-high.
ALRIGHT. right now, i have to go to the dreaded wal-mart to buy shampoo and body wash. and then i have to go to the grocery store, i think. i'm hoping one of those places will have lavender oil. but, i might have to go to the drug store for that. or the health food store, which is closed right now.
anyways, sorry for my complaining a little. i have an pretty low-key job, which i shouldn't complain about. and i work with amazing people. and there ARE hours where i don't work. but the fact that i live at work is mostly a hard thing.
ANYWAYS, SORRY AGAIN.
hope everyone is staying cool in both the 'not being sweaty' way and the 'keeping awesome' way.
have a great wednesday night!!!

teacup humans
TODAY I:
- did three loads of laundry
- finished season 2 of True Blood
- started season 3 of True Blood
- ate pie
- cleaned my oven
- cleaned my stove
- killed a hornet and two other creepy flying things with the help of Ruby Tuesday
- painted my nails purple
- cleaned out some drawers in my bureau
i had a good day. also, i checked my hair for lice and it's NEGATIVE!!! alright!! there's been a tiny outbreak in the house, which is why i've been having to spray the furniture and do head checks. and then i figured i should probably check my own head. it was also the motivation for washing all my sheets and towels in hot water. it needed to be done anyways.
i guess i'm not freaking out about the lice. the outbreak of bed bugs last year was pretty much the worst.
although, it would SUCK if i got lice.
um, let's stop talking about this.
let's talk about True Blood and how i watched all of season 2 in like, 3 days. no, maybe it's more like 5 days. that makes me feel better. there are only 12 episodes in the season. and MAN it's so good. like, crazy, though. at one point, during the season finale with all the crazy demon people and the demon witch lady with the claw hands i was just laughing like, "what the hell is going on!?!?"
but then it got scary and gross again and i got serious. i definitely think season 2 was grosser than season 1. but, i could still handle it. the part that grossed me out the most was during Bill's flashback to the 1920's when him and his maker were living together in Los Angeles and they kill that couple and drink their blood, and then there's just blood everywhere and they start having sex on the blood soaked bed. THAT part really grossed me out and i had to look away for a moment.
but i can pretty much handle it.
although you know who's hard to handle? um, Alexander Skarsgard. what a hottie! maaannn he's so tough and scary.... but then he smiles..... ahhhh it's so nice. and he's just so tall! he towers over EVERYONE! like father, like son, right?
remember when i was totally in love with his father - Stellan Skarsgard. who, i guess i'm still probably in love with. oooo yeah. i like those Swedish men. of course we all know Stellan as Bill from Mamma Mia! yep. the hott dad!!!
but, whoa. first Stellan and now Alexander. i think this is the first time i've had a crush on a father and son. i suppose it's kind of strange. you'd think i would have been in love with Alex first, and then his dad. but nope, opposite.
i mean, i've fallen in love with my fair share of brothers..... never a father and son before. it'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
although, i don't know what i'm talking about. Alexander dates Kate Bosworth. but like i said to Kara in an email tonight, i'm pretty sure he has like, 5 younger brothers. :) yes please.
anyways. i might watch one more episode and then go to bed. i should go to bed now. it's 2:27am. hm. i'm not really tired.
oh! i forgot to tell you TWO awesome things!!!
1. yesterday at Dunkin Donuts i pulled up to the drive-thru window and the lady asked, "do you want a free magnet?" and i said, "sure!!" and i got a free Dunkin Donuts magnet!!! FOR FREE! it was great. and then she said, "are you driving a Prius?" and i said, "yes!" and she said, "oooo i want one of those!!" and i said, "it's pretty awesome." it was great. FREE MAGNET!!!!!
2. Kara's bakery had a pastry tasting over the weekend and since Kara is the head/only baker at the place, she baked everything for the tasting. AND - she was out in her bakers uniform during the afternoon and some guy comes over to her and tells her that she is the "best baker in New England." FOR REALZ. that happened!!!
instant recap: after eating Kara's baked goods, some guy tells her that she is the best baker in New England!!!!
NEW ENGLAND! that's SIX STATES! that means that maybe there is a better baker out there in the other 44 states, but probably not. it's that awesome?! Kara is becoming kind of a local celeb. also, she had someone special order a birthday cake and when they picked it up the lady said to her that she'd be calling Kara again because she does a lot of entertaining.
awesome! i'm so proud of Kara. she's a great baker, for serious.
anyways, that's pretty much all.
it's hottttttttt today. and i don't appreciate it. so, Earth, if you could speed up your rotation around the sun, that'd be great. let's get back to winter please. kthx.
alright! now it's 2:39am. ooooo i'm REALLY not tired. but i KNOW i should try and go to bed. but i REALLY want to watch one more episode of True Blood.
maybe i'll get into bed and watch an episode. that kind of seems like a halfway point.
also, i may or may not be coming down with a cold. i can't really tell. but i've been sneezing a lot. today my teeth and head hurt. and i've been having to put in eye drops like, 4 times a day.
i guess it could also be allergies since i'm pretty sure i've built up tolerance for my allergy meds.
whatever. anyways, ok. you all have a great week!!
TODAY, is 5 July, and it is my friend Ross's birthday! Happy Birthday Ross! i don't know if you're reading this - but i miss you. and i've been thinking about you a lot lately. i hope you are having a wonderful time doing whatever you're doing, and we should see each other soon. also, remember that time that you, me, and Rob sang 'Aicha' in the hallway of G1? like, we sang the whole song. and probably made fun of the Aicha kid. that was a fun time.
yeah, that link right there, you all should click on it. i can't tell you how many times i've seen that video. of that kid's homemade music video to 'Aicha.' MAN, that kid is a legend.
and oohhhh i miss college. i've really been missing my first year of college. that was a great year. all the years were great.
yeah. all the years were great. MAN i have great friends. and college was awesome. and i want to go back.
OK - I JUST DECIDED SOMETHING. i need to become Captain of the Airport Lounge. STAT. like, right now.
WHO is in charge of the Airport Lounge right now, because it's not me and it NEEDS TO BE. omg why haven't i thought of this before?!??!
i need to go back to Chicago and buy those airplane wings i saw in that cool vintage store with Kerianne!! what was that store...!!?!? Hollywood Mirror!!! was that it? yep. i need those wings. and i will also buy them for every Airport Lounge Flight Attendant.
OH MAN - i totally rocked that lounge when i worked there. now i can rock it again as Captain. YEP. this is my calling. what i was born to do.
STEP ONE:
1. the Airport Lounge needs a Twitter.
yep. rocking this already. also: CARDIGANS. yep. all the Airport Lounge Flight Attendants will wear cardigans. light blue ones. with orange name tags, and pilot wings.
alright. i'm gonna work on this.
now it's 3:04am. and i'm all excited thinking about the Airport Lounge. ohhhh i love that place.

yes, that tab is open to my livejournal. which i updated quite frequently while on shift at the APL.

oh wow, who designed that awesome sign?!!? UM, ME.

remember when there used to be all those clocks in the APL, just like a real airport? and under the clock set for Eastern time, it said this.

and it's me! wearing some adorable polka dotted hair accessory!! even during my 5-8am shift!!! hey, there were still people to impress during those late night hours.
OH MAN I MISS HAMPSHIRE COLLEGE. yep. it's coming on strong. it's a strong miss right now. like just after i graduated.
man i'm feeling very sad right now. but also very LUCKY and FORTUNATE that i had the absolute most best amazing time ever and met the most totally wonderful people in the whole world.
i miss Boomin Breakfast.
i have to go back. ♥
goodnight friends. i've enjoyed our time together tonight.
