GLOBES ONLINE!!!!!!!

STREAMING VIDEO OF THE GOLDEN GLOBES ONLINE!!!!!!!

you can watch on facebook! watch on nbc.com! watch on ustream.com!!!!

i'm watching red carpet stuff right now. the hosts are pretty lame-o, but whatevs.

it SAYS that they will be streaming the show LIVE, but i won't believe it until it's actually happening.

so, i'm super excited. Kristen Bell was just on. people from Glee. people from True Blood. Mrs. Ari from Entourage. yeah.

Jeremy Piven is live tweeting from the red carpet, so that's great.

TONIGHT technology reigns SUPREME.

and i am really hoping for a Kate, Leo, James Cameron reunion. YES.

oh, it's going to be a good night.

i'm just rooting for everyone because i'm so excited.

no wait, i know what i'm rooting for - FANTASTIC MR. FOX. all the way. i hope Jason is there.

alright!!! i gotta get back to the show.

Tina Fey looks so great.

AAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Golden Globes night is here!!!!! i can't believe it.

OK. CALM DOWN julie.

going to go. ENJOY THE SHOW!!!!!!!

<3

GLOBES!!!!!

GOLDEN GLOBES TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!! NBC!!!!! CHECK YOUR LOCAL LISTING FOR THE CORRECT TIME!!!!!!

i am majorly worried about this. remember how much stress this night brought upon me last year? if i could get a day-to-day cable plan, TODAY would be one of my days.

Per Diem Cable TV.

so, i have to go downstairs to watch the Golden Globes on the communal television. one of the residents here is a pretty big tv addict, and she HATES when people bother her. i am very worried that this night could go badly.

i mean, the Globes start at 8pm. and the girls have curfew at 9pm. so,

WORST CASE SCENERIO: i miss the first hour.

if i had missed the first hour last year, i would have missed Kate Winslet winning her FIRST Golden Globe for The Reader.

need i remind you how Kate DOMINATED the Actress categories last year?!?!

oh, fine, i'll post the video again!

anyways. i guess missing the first hour of the Globes would just be another part of this terrific week.

also: what else could go wrong this week? oh, my earring is infected again. it has been not infected for SO long. and then THIS week, it decides to get infected again. so, last night i started washing it with alcohol. oooo it burned.

but on a good note!!!

i checked twitter this morning and the most recent tweet was from Crash Kings and they were like, "we're live on CD 101 in Ohio now!!!" and it was from like, 5 minutes ago. and so i immediately googled that radio station and clicked on the "listen live" button.

it started playing and Tony was telling a story about waiting tables at a vegan restaurant in west hollywood. so great!!! that made me very happy. because i have missed ALL their other live radio performances due to work, or other unforeseen circumstances.

it was a great radio show. so happy.

but during the night!!!! i woke up with a bad stomach ache. how often does that happen? um, never. that was a real bummer because i didn't think i'd be able to get back to sleep. but, i did.

anyways.

ok. i'm gonna go, i guess.

have a great day. don't forget about the Golden Globes!!!!! Kate's presenting! Leo's presenting!!! just imagine the AFTER PARTY PICTURES!!!!!!!!

i will do a full-recap, because i know you would expect nothing less.

love you all.

kitty knitting

(apologize for the underline.....does anyone understand Blogger formatting?)

kitty knitting. that's kind of a cute name for something. like this blog post!!!! duh!!

so, i called this post 'kitty knitting' because i will be featuring pictures of both my kitty, and my knitting.

i think it makes sense.

let's get going!

KITTY

i thought to myself, "where is ruby tuesday?" and then i saw a strange lump under my covers....

SLEEPY TUESDAY!!!!! she's sleeping right next to Buck!!!

awwwww!!! look at that little tongue!

she's so tired and cute!!!! isn't she the cutest ever?!? after i took these photos i covered her back up and said, "goodnight!"

i love her so much.

KNITTING

so, i had mentioned that the orange scarf i was knitting has this curling problem. i have never had this happen with anything else. my dear friend Renee who reads from Colorado is an expert knitter/artisan and co-writes her own crafty blog with my other dear friend, Dave. you should click and read about all their tasty cooking adventures.

anyways. Renee said that if i posted pictures of the scarf, she would diagnose the prob!

so, here ya go!!!

ORANGE!!!!!

curling, wtf!?

i read something about blocking online the other night and wonder if i'll have to do this? like, when you wet the knitting and then press it into shape while it dries. that sounds easy enough....i hope i don't have to start all over.

but right now, it would make an awesome sleeve if i knitted the sides closed.

i really like this scarf. i just bought a dark teal puffy vest on sale from Old Navy and i think it will look pretty freaking hip with this scarf.

PICTURE THIS:

red plaid shirt, orange scarf, dark teal puffy vest

whoa. people won't know what to think of me - i'll be SO cool.

i love that shirt. i wore it again yesterday. just wearing it, i feel cooler than everyone else. horrible? maybe. confidence-boosting? yup.

alright. i'm alone now. my dad is on his way to Berwick, Maine to stay there for a few days. to see Kara.

he's moving back to Canada, my dad. next monday, the 25th. one-way ticket from boston to british columbia. i'm very excited for him, but it's also one of the reasons i've been sad all week. i'm really going to miss him. especially after hanging out with him all week.

he's coming back to stay with me sometime next week....maybe thursday or friday. and then he's off on a new adventure.

actually, i will take this time to post about a different kitty. Tilly. or, Miss Tilly. she is another very sweet cat. her and Ruby Tuesday are sisters. and my dad is trying to find a home for her...

Tilly is the grey one in the middle. Rainbow is in front of her, and Jackie is behind.

Tilly is very squeaky. she's always making these really cute squeaker noises. she doesn't really like being held, but she's very sweet and loves playing.

here's her craigslist listing.

let me know!

okay. i think that's all. i'm trying to decide whether or not to have pancakes tonight for supper, or tomorrow for breakfast. i think maybe tonight. i've had this tab open with a pancake recipe ALL week in my browser. and i have some Andes mints that i'm going to cut up and put in the pancakes. and once i finally make the pancakes, i can either close the tab, or save the recipe.

yeah, i think tonight for supper.

alright. have a good night, everyone. i'll talk to you all again sometime soon.

"spread love wherever you go"

no blog tonight. sorry folks.

unimaginably hard day at work.

unimaginably hard week at life.

got a pretty bad head cold. (again.)

so happy my dad is here.

13 January 2010

i can't believe it's only wednesday

that's how i felt all night at work. it was like, "what? this is only midweek!?"

it was bad. bad night at work. i just felt crappy and angry the whole time. two feelings i haven't felt in a while. remember my december?

lucky to have courtney there with me. somehow we survived.

there was one good thing that happened:

i had my coat on and was walking out the door when one of the little girls said to me,

TODDLER: Bye Julie!
JULIE: Bye! I'll see you later!
TODDLER: I need a kiss.
JULIE: Ok! (i went over and gave her a kiss)
TODDLER: I need a hug!!
JULIE: Oh, alright! (so i gave her a hug too)

then she told me that her little sister needed a kiss and hug too. good thing i was right there. it was the sweetest.

anyways. enough about work!!! more about plaid.

MY RED PLAID SHIRT ARRIVED TODAY. wednesday. the 13th. it was a joyous day.

and i wore it!!!! all night. and i think it's pretty hott. it's really comfortable. i felt totes fashionable even through a not so great night. and what more could you want?

so, here's the thing: i came home from work and immediately put on my sweats. and then i remembered later that i had promised a picture in the shirt.

so, i forgot. so you'll have to take my word that i wore it.

but NEXT TIME i will post a picture. promise. heck, maybe i'll even have an impromptu photo shoot sometime soon with the shirt.

anyways. that was a great part about today.

also a great part about today? the guy working at the post office handed me my netflix BEFORE I EVEN GOT TO THE COUNTER. it was like he saw me coming around the corner and went to get them for me.

this made me so happy.

also, at the bank they told me that i was preapproved for a credit card! that wasn't very exciting. i just kind of ignored it. whatevs.

it's really fun hanging out with my dad. friday night i'm going to cook Julie's Famous Coconut Mango Chicken with Black Beans and Coconut Rice meal.

i bet i know what you're thinking......"but julie, haven't you only cooked that meal once before?" and my answer to that is, "yes. yes i have only cooked it once before. but it was that good and that's what it's famous after only one time."

ha! i win again.

man. i keep sneezing. and blowing my nose like, every other minute.

remember the other night when i got sneezed and coughed on? yeah. i think that's catching up with me.

i think i'm actually going to go to bed soon. it's 2:23am. that's an earlyish time to go to bed.

HEY! Crash Kings are in Chicago right now!!! and they're on a radio show sometime today. it's an internet radio show called FEARLESS RADIO and they're on at 5pm. i'm assuming that's Chicago time.

i'm hoping i can listen later because i'll be at work. MAN i will be excited when this work week is over. meaning, thursday night at 10pm. i haven't felt that way in a long time.

but YOU should listen at 5pm! if you're in chicago. or, 6pm if you're on the east coast. or, 3pm if you're on the west coast!!! did i do that time zoning right!?!

ok. i'm tired and stuffy. Ruby is already asleep on my bed. she's such a cutie. i think she's also very happy that my dad is staying because she has someone to hang out with while i'm at work.

have a great thursday!!!!! i hope i do. and i hope courtney does.

i'll talk to you all later.

be well. take care. no worries.

12 January 2010

yellow streetlight

here's how my day started off:

- took my lipgloss out of my purse. opened it. immediately dropped it on my cat-hair filled floor.

i thought, "i hope today isn't another yesterday."

did i pick the cat hair off the gloss and still use it? you betcha. hey, it was pineapple flavor. you would have done it too.

ok, maybe it was a little gross.

anyways. then i got dressed and went to staff meeting. from 12:15p to 3:30p.

then came back upstairs to my apartment and my dad almost immediately called! he was turning onto my street!!!!

he's staying with me for a few nights. probably until saturday morning. i was very happy when he arrived. and we instantly jumped into an old Evans tradition - made a pot of coffee, hopped on the couch and cracked open a bag of potato chips. only the finest.

actually, the very first thing we did was investigate the strange smell. and much to my surprise - he couldn't smell anything. and when he momentarily would smell something, he said it did not smell dangerous.

i can still smell it through my whole kitchen. but, at least i have someone telling me it doesn't smell dangerous.

which also leads me to believe that something is wrong with me. phantom smells? isn't that a symptom of a brain tumor? that's what i remember from Grey's.

anyways. i didn't die last night in my sleep. and so far, we're all still okay.

but i woke up this morning at 7:45am to feed Ruby and the first thing i thought was, "hey! i woke up!!! i'm not dead!!" and i thought the exact same thing when i woke up again at 8:30, and again at 11am. it was an exciting morning.

anyways. it's fun having my dad here. we hung out here for a bit and then went out to dinner at this italian restaurant, Lui Lui's, in west lebanon. i had a bbq chicken calzone with pineapple added. delish. my dad had spaghetti and meatballs. also delish.

then we came back here and relaxed. watched some Entourage. loves it. oh, i love that show so much.

the episode when Ari goes to the headmaster's house and pleads to him to let his son into the school? aw. so good.

and now it's 10:27pm. i hope it's a quiet night at work.

tomorrow is wednesday. i have to go to the post office. i believe my red plaid shirt is waiting for me. SUPER excited slash nervous.

hm. what else can i tell you?

Ruby is happy to have my dad here.

i started listening to this Jason Schwartzman interview on KCRW radio. the show, Morning Becomes Eclectic, hosted by Jason Bentley. i haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but what i heard was very funny. Jason is totes hilairs!!! (totes hilarious.....not sure if that abbrev worked out) and he was also like, a guest DJ, so he got to play music. and he played and Julian Casablancas song!! 'Glass' which is a great song. and he dedicated a song to his dog, Arrow, which was so funny. he was like, "Arrow, I know you don't speak English...or any other language as far as I can tell, but if you're listening, this one is for you." oh, he's so adorable.

and speaking of J.Schwartz, i recently let my dad borrow The Darjeeling Limited - which he loved - and he told me that he thought that there were a few scenes in the movie where Jason reminded him of himself when he was younger. i guess with the long hair and moustache. i thought that was pretty cool.

did i tell you about the portuguese muffin i had? yeah. i think i did. that was a pretty big story. .....

hm. what else? there must be something! a whole DAY has passed.

i dropped my cell phone on the ground today and it split into three pieces. but then i put it back together. GREAT!

i still smell something funny. something not right. we tested my oven and burners. everything worked, and nothing exploded. that must be a good sign.

anyways. i might get into bed and watch more Entourage. or watch an episode of Tell Me You Love Me. a new HBO show that andrew recommended. it's got Adam Scott. he's a funny guy. was in Knocked Up. he was on Veronica Mars. he's on Party Down. and on the show he's married to Penny from Lost.

the show is about these three different couples who all start seeing a sex therapist. and it's all different stories, with the same therapist. and somehow i think, the three stories will start to intertwine. i just started the show. it's good so far.

also so far: it's very enjoyable reading the tweets from Crash Kings as they start their first headlining tour. i hope they continue tweeting throughout the whole tour. mainly it's been about what kind of food they're currently eating. but hey - that's fine with me. they need to start making blog videos STAT. they would be a great blog video band.

alright, friends. sorry tonight hasn't been more active and exciting. the night is still young.

we're coming up on 11pm.

OK. why haven't i seen Avatar yet?!?! SERIOUSLY!! i can't figure this out. i need to see it asap before the Globes. WAIT!!! the Globes are on SUNDAY. uh oh. this could be a close call. maybe i'll go sunday afternoon.

THE GLOBES!!!!!! this will be my first award-show recap in the new blog!!!!! on my new laptop!!!!! ooo it's so exciting. and, if my sources are correct, both KATE and LEO will be attending the big event. we all know how that makes me feel. i can't even talk about it because it's too late to start freaking out with excitement.

oh man. kate and leo. remember last year when Kate DOMINATED the actress categories?!!?!? and she confessed her love for Leonardo in her Revolutionary Road speech. and she looked absolutely gorgeous. that was a great night. simply great.

has everyone seen the magazine cover with Kevin Jonas and his new wife?? is that not the happiest picture ever?? the smile on his face is just so great. how can i be mad at him with that smile?? it's so big and excited.

ok. now it's 11:02pm. i guess now that's all i have to say.

ok, so i just realized that i am cold. and i also felt a breeze come in through my window. so i said, "hey, i'll check the temp!"

7. 7 degrees. seven. at 11pm. remember last night it was 22 degrees at like, 2am?!?!! what gives?!?!? the temp last night must have been wrong. 7 degrees sounds way more right.

it's 11 degrees in Berwick. 11 degrees in Concord. 14 degrees in Nashua. 48 degrees in Comox, British Columbia. that's F, not C.

i wish i had gone to meteorology school. i think that stuff is fascinating. i suppose there's still time.

alright.

i'm really tired tonight. i have been tired ever since i woke up. i must have been subconsciously stressed out over whether or not i would die in my sleep. and didn't really get some good z's.

Ruby Tuesday must be sleeping with my dad. i don't see her anywhere.

OH i should go to the bank tomorrow. don't let me forget.

ok. i think now i'll get into bed and watch tv on my laptop. aahhh the wonders of 2010.

ya know, i hate writing that year. it feels so obnoxious. anyone else feel this way? i just don't like it. it's like the Regina George of years. the queen bee. the mean girl. anyone second this?

ok. NOW. i think i will sign off.

goodnight friends!! i'll talk to you again soon. have lovely nights and days and everything in between.

11 January 2010

off day

i had a very off day. everything i did was whacked. (or is it simply, 'whack?')

i decided to make a list in order of the crazy/whack things i did that did not make any sense:

1. tried to open my car door without unlocking it
2. again, tried to open my car door without unlocking it
3. put on my turn signal for absolutely no reason, in the middle of a straight road and didn't realize it for like, 15 seconds
4. tried to open my apartment door without unlocking it
5. forgot to feed Ruby Tuesday. she normally gets supper at around 9pm. i didn't remember until midnight. and i almost cried because i felt so bad.
6. dropped a plastic cup full of iced tea in my kitchen

that's 6. what was i thinking today? or, actually i think the problem was that i wasn't thinking at all. the turn signal thing really snapped be into reality. i was like, "holy crap i'm driving and i need to pay attention right now."

and i felt really bad about forgetting to feed ruby tuesday. she was bugging me for food and i said to her, "ruby, you just ate...... aw crap..." and then i got really sad.

i hope i am back on track tomorrow.

BACK ON TRACK.
ENOUGH WHACK.

that is my new motto. i will make it my facebook status immediately.

ok. 2:45am. i'm really tired. i was just downstairs dealing with a sick baby. i got sneezed on, coughed on and drooled on for like, 20 minutes. if that's not a recipe for getting sick, then i don't know what is. aw, it's so sad when babies are sick, though. because they can't do anything for themselves! they can't even blow their tiny noses.

alright. time to get into my bed. my house is still smelling like gas. i think it's gas. but, i had candles lit and nothing blew up. i also have a window open which is counterproductive to everything a heater stands for.

maybe i'll turn the heat down tonight.

it's currently 22 degrees. 22 degrees!!!!! at nighttime!!!! that's like, 70. i was expecting it to be like, 4 degrees. 22. that's not bad at all. yeah, i'll turn the heat down so i don't die in my sleep.

i've survived so far with no problems.

ALTHOUGH, i think it might be a stink bug. because i was reading that some people are allergic to their smell. AND TONIGHT, i had a major allergy attack. eyes were itchy and BURNING, couldn't breathe, nose was all stuffed. it was agony for like, 25 minutes. and then i got over it.

anyways. what was i saying? oh yeah. if i die in my sleep - don't forget my itunes playlist for my funeral. it's not perfected yet, but i guess it'll have to do. it's called '6 feet under.'

yeah, it's a little weird. maybe. (and remember, kara gets all my teal things.) i guess i'm just a little bit of Harold (from harold and maude) mixed with a little bit of Elle Woods. i think it all evens out.

ANYWAYS. julie go to sleep. it's 2:54am. staff meeting is at 12:15 today instead of 12:30. that means i have to get up earlier. i was thinking like, 11:30.

ok. i have to go to bed. i'm super tired. and super wiggity whack. i don't know what i'm talking about.

but, goodnight!!! have wonderful tuesdays.

<3

cold case

i'm on a mission to find the bad smell in my house. maybe someone reading this is a detective. here's what happened:

- my house smelled fine all day
- i left to go run some errands around 6pm
- i came home around 7:15pm and the house smelled bad

i cannot find the smell! i washed all the dirty dishes in the sink. i checked the fridge. i can't find it anywhere. it seems to be coming from the kitchen. it's not a garbage smell. i thought it might be my gas oven. because it kind of smells like rotten gas. and then i thought, "aw man, i bet it's carbon monoxide." and then i googled it, and carbon monoxide is odorless, which is why people die from it.

weird though, because for some reason i have been stressing out over my carbon monoxide detectors. the past couple nights before i go to sleep i lay there thinking, 'i wonder if i will die of carbon monoxide poisoning tonight.' that's a true story.

and then i thought it might be my heater. because when the guy came to clean it, remember he said, "if you smell anything funny, turn it off and give us a call." but i don't know if it's that. i guess i could turn it off an notice if the smell goes away. but that would be really cold.

i am worried that it's one of those stink bugs. hiding somewhere. i had one of those before up here. kara was here. it was HUGE. and it smelled really bad. but i can't remember if it smelled like this.

i lit some candles. but, that makes me even more nervous because if it is coming from my gas oven, should i have open flames in the house? but then again, i have the heater, which is basically a fireplace.

nothing's exploded yet.

man. i hope i don't die in an explosion tonight.

i think Ruby smells it too. because she keeps sniffing around frantically by my oven. maybe that is what it is.

ok. so i just googled some things. i don't think it's the gas oven. because i have an electric gas oven, which i just learned. (i still hate it)

it doesn't smell like rotten eggs, i don't think. because that might indicate a natural gas leak.

ugh. maybe there's a stink bug under my oven. that would be confusing.

anyways. i was going to make pancakes for supper tonight, but maybe i won't. i won't use the oven.

i also don't think it's a natural gas leak because i read not to use any electrical things, even your cell phone because that could cause an electrical spark. and, i have a ton of lights on. and my cell phone is on. and i'm listening to my ipod right now. i just hung up a bunch of twinkle lights in my cave room. it looks oh so pretty and comforting. i really want to start using that room. at first i thought it was too far away from everything to be a good room.

but now, if i have to walk a little distance to get to things in the apartment i feel like more of a real person.

HEY. MAINE PEOPLE. people who read this who live in maine. YOU are in for a treat.

CRASH KINGS are coming to PORTLAND!!!! on 6 FEBRUARY 2010. THE ASYLUM is where they're playing.

enjoy. and, you're welcome.

ok. it's 9:13pm. i have to go to work soon.

i slept so much last night. i went to bed around 2:15am and woke up at 12:35pm. i was feeling blah. i think tonight might be an early night too.

hey, guess what i'm wearing right now!??!! RED PLAID. flannel. YEP. i got a package from my dad in the mail today and in it was a red plaid flannel shirt!!! it's pretty big. i think it's a men's XXL, so i'm wearing it as a sleep shirt. it's so warm and fulfilling. i feel super cool. hopefully it will keep me warm if i have to turn off my heat due to a gas leak. it's awesome. i love it.

THERE IT IS!!!! there i am!!!! with special guest on my lap: ruby tuesday. she was looking up at me and closing her eyes.

ok. i guess that's all for now.

i had a breakfast sandwich today on a portuguese muffin. i didn't know what that was, but i asked the lady and she said it was like an english muffin, only sweeter and less cake-ier. i said, "okay, that sounds good." and it was!! it was great.

ok. now that's all.

actually. last night the lights in the house kept dimming. it was like a minor brown out. maybe that has something to do with the smell. if it's electrical.

oh, i have no idea. but, i'll talk to you all soon. have a great monday night.

<3

10 January 2010

short shifter shape shifter

hey all.

working right now. I KNOW what you must be thinking. "but julie, it's a sunday morning, why aren't you warm in your flannel sheets sleeping the day away?" and my answer to that is this, "i was called saturday evening and asked if i would work sunday from 8am until 1pm. my thought process was this:

- i woke up at 1pm today,
- that means that i might be able to go to sleep by 2am,
- and then that will give me at least 5 hours of sleep,
- eh, i guess i can work

and then i said i could work."

of course, i got into bed at 2:30am and didn't fall asleep until around 3:20. i couldn't get comfortable and i wasn't tired. i hate having to force myself to sleep.

and then i woke up

once - because ruby tuesday was right in my face
twice - because i had to sneeze
three times - because i had to sneeze again

and then for good at 7:25am. got up. made coffee. told Ruby that she had just eaten at 2am and it was still too early for her breakfast. she wasn't happy to hear that.

then i got dressed. turned a sweater into a cardigan. made oatmeal and went to work.

i really debated about cutting the sweater. it's a navy blue sweater that i never wear. and a few times this week i have thought to myself, "i wish i had a navy blue sweater cardigan." and then i would look longingly at the sweater hanging in my closet that i never wear. and so this morning was the final straw and i cut it. i think i might go buy wooden buttons to sew on so it looks more profesh.

awesome.

i'm quite liking it.

ANYWAYS. i have two things to tell you about:

1. my delicious dinner that i cooked for myself
2. Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement

actually, i might tell you about those things in the reverse order.

let's get going.

PRINCESS DIARIES 2: ROYAL ENGAGEMENT

um. okay. not as good as the first one. written by Shonda Rhimes, which i wasn't expecting. and as it goes with most sequels, they really played off the strong points in the first one to try and make the second one funnier. such as, the clumsiness of Princess Mia. she was constantly knocking things over, tripping, accidentally hurting people, etc.

most of the cast was the same. including Julie Andrews. and her friend Lilly. they added characters such as Raven Simone and Abigail Breslin. AND. did you know that Chris Pine was the guy?!!? the NEW love interest?!!?! did you know and didn't tell me!!?!? i didn't know until i saw the opening credits. and then i was shocked/excited.

Robert Schwartzman obviously wasn't in it. Anne Hathaway did this huge long voiceover montage at the beginning and she was like, "and i'm sure you all are wondering what happened between me and Michael....well, we're just friends now, and he's currently touring the country with his band." and that was it. he's on tour with his band. which, makes sense.

now, the movie is called "Royal Engagement" so obviously we assume there is an engagement. and with engagements come all the normal before wedding activities. let me sum this up in four words:

BRIDAL SHOWER SLUMBER PARTY

yep. this scene lasted like, 15 minutes. a huge bridal shower slumber party where Princess Mia invited all the young princesses from around the world. their slumber party included karaoke (in which julie andrews was coaxed into singing a song with Raven), mattress surfing down the main staircase and lots of pink pajamas.

it was a pretty crazy party. it was so intense.

also, Chris Pine. yeah. he had a great head of hair in this movie. and boy was he dashing. at first they liked each other, and then of course he was the enemy of the whole family, all the while she was engaged to someone else, but they were still in love, and then in the end she can't marry the other guy cause she's so in love with chris pine. and then there's a big twist ending, which i won't reveal.

all in all, i gave it 3 stars.

also, Anne Hathaway's wardrobe wasn't so great. they put her in a lot of skirt suits. and too much makeup. which made her look funny.

but, throughout the whole thing, especially when Princess Mia was preparing to take over as queen, it was very emotional thinking about when she was still in high school. like, before her big makeover. and remembering back to when she was working at the rock climbing place. before she even found out she was a princess. it was very cool to watch her grow.

ALSO - her mom ends up marrying her debate teacher, Mr. O'Connell. and HE'S in the second one. that was weird. and it must have been weird for Mia too. to have her high school teacher marry her mom and then come to her wedding and coronation ceremony. i would have thought it was weird, if i were Princess Mia.

anyways. enough about PD 2.

THE GREAT DELICIOUS DINNER I COOKED FOR MYSELF

so, as many of you may remember, i talked about cooking myself a great, delicious dinner last night.

the recipe = coconut mango chicken with black beans and coconut rice.

the result = totes delish.

it started out gross because the chicken was frozen and uncooked. and i hate it. ugh it's so disgusting. and it was sooo cold. and all Ruby Tuesday wanted to do was be right next to me on the counter while i cut it up. and i was getting so frustrated with her because she just wouldn't stay on the ground. and i was worried she was going to get sick from all the uncooked chicken.

but then i finally got things together and the chicken was ready to be cooked in the frying pan.

- i put some oil in the frying pan and cooked the chicken in strips
- then added coriander
- then added chicken broth
- that mixture simmered for a few minutes
- then i took the chicken off the stove and put it on a plate
- then added the coconut milk to the frying pan
- then added the mango chunks
- let that boil down for a little while
- then put the chicken back in the frying pan and let it all cook together for a little while

meanwhile,

- i was simmering black beans mixed with lime juice on another burner

and also meanwhile,

- i was boiling basmati rice on another burner
- but instead of cooking the rice with water, i cooked it with coconut milk

EVERYTHING came out really well. the rice burned a little bit on the bottom, and i think next time i would do half coconut milk, half water to make it less thick. next time i would also buy frozen mango chunks instead of buying a fresh mango and cutting it. that mango was a super pain to cut. and it was sooo juicy and sticky. it was just a mess.

other than that, everything was great. if you had a bite with the chicken, mango, beans and rice altogether - oh, it was the best. the chicken had a really good flavor, which i kind of wasn't expecting. there was more coconut flavor than i was expecting. and the mango made it all sweet.

ooooo it was so good. and i was so proud of myself for cooking up a whole dinner.

the black beans were sooooo good. just a can of black beans mixed with two tablespoons of lime juice (plus a little bit extra because i love lime). super easy, and super delish!!!!

so, great recipe. i'll definitely make it again. but make sure that the chicken is all defrosted and ready to be cut, instead of having to deal with it being all cold.

and i have leftovers!! i bet they will be really good because all the flavors will have had time to really mingle together overnight.

ok. done with work and back home now. we watched Finding Nemo. hadn't seen that movie for a while. pretty easy day. now i'm off until 9pm.

i might take a nap now because i'm pretty tired and didn't get much sleep. Ruby had breakfast when i came home just after one.

alright, i hope you have a wonderful sunday.

SUNDAY-FUNDAY!!!!!! you know it.

take care. talk to you soon,

09 January 2010

gonna leave it for the morning in the afterlife

man. it's sunny today, am i right? yes. too sunny. i actually woke up this morning (afternoon, actually) and thought to myself, "man, i wish it were cloudy like yesterday. for serious.

and i've just been sitting on my couch waiting for the sun to set. and it's finally happening. i've always known that i prefer cloudy days to sunny ones, but today it's actually a conscious thought. now that it's sunset, i am going to go out to the grocery store.

but first, i wanted to blog to let you know what's up. i didn't blog yesterday and i don't really know why. let's get going:

1. in my second viewing of Entourage, i have noticed that the show makes great use of the color orange. it's everywhere. Turtle wears a lot of orange, Ari Gold wears it, it's the color of the walls and couch in the Miller Gold Agency. it was the color of both Ari's scarf and the cute driver's scarf in the episode where they go to Sundance. it's everywhere. i think the show is shot with orange lighting to make it sparkle. just like they shot Reese Witherspoon in pink lighting for Legally Blonde.

anyways. in this orange revelation, i have realized that i don't own anything orange. and it was really the cute driver's scarf at Sundance that did it for me. so now, i am going to be the owner of an orange scarf. i couldn't find one at any store that i liked, and that captured the scarf vision that i wanted. so, i decided to take matters into my own hands.

i went to the fabric store, bought some "pumpkin" colored yarn - and i'm knitting one!!!! i started last night. it's going pretty well so far. just a simple knit and purl. i tried to follow a fancy pattern, but i was getting a head of myself. i haven't knit since LAST christmas. so, i was a little out of practice. but, i did a tiny practice run, and decided i just wanted to jump in.

i'm excited about it. although, the yarn is very curly. meaning, the edges are curling up. i have faith that once it's longer it will have more shape to it. i think i might add tassels in the end. at first, i didn't want tassels. but then i thought, "wait, who doesn't want tassels?" so, i think it's a go.

i've never knit anything for myself before. actually, i've only ever knit one thing before, and it was a pink and brown striped scarf for kara that came out freaking amazing. it was my first knitting project. pretty proud of that scarf.

this yarn is a thicker yarn, so i kind of wanted it to be simple. i thought if there was a fancy pattern, on top of the thick yarn, it would get to be too much.

and i don't actually think i'm going to look good with the orange scarf around my neck. whatevs. i'll still be proud to wear it.

2. i am very excited about the dinner i am making myself tonight. Coconut Mango Chicken with Black Beans and Coconut Rice. yum, right? i know. i am combining two recipes to create a super delish one. i have most of the ingredients already, which is why i'm so excited about it. it will be cheap to make. i'll let you know how it goes. maybe i'll even photo diary my way through cooking it. the chicken is defrosting in the fridge as we speak.

3. my boss let me borrow her Ingrid Michaelson CD. 'Everybody.' great cd. she has such a pretty voice. and, it's the first time i've really noticed how well the tracks are in order. like, it really feels like a complete cd. all the track placement is smooth and thought out. nice.

4. if you've been listening to me this past month, you know that i'm doing everything in my power to get you all to become super fans of Crash Kings. which you should be. because they are totally wonderful. now, in my effort to continue this, i am posting this link to some solo performances that Tony did for KROQ 106.7 FM in Los Angeles. there was one morning a few months ago that i listened to KROQ online for like, 2 hours because i read a rumor via Twitter that Jason Schwartzman was going to be doing a Coconut Records interview at noontime. so, i listened from like, 11am to 1pm and then realized that LA was three hours behind. yep. i am embarrassed to admit that. my math skills were blinded by Coconut Records.

anyways. i learned via Crash Kings twitter this week that they were doing some in-studio performances on KROQ and then they finally posted the videos yesterday. i thought it was going to be the entire trio of guys performing, but it's just Tony solo with piano. GREAT STUFF. for realz.

and if you'll take my word when i say that this band is freaking amazing, you'll watch these videos.

so, the first link up there is to the main radio website. and the second link is the link to the page with the videos. you also get some great shots of the hott tattoo. yep.

5. hm. alright. i think that might be all for now.

6. the other night i had a dream that i was going to this fancy party and couldn't decide how to wear my hair. and it was a super huge crisis. i wanted to wear it down, but couldn't find any fancy and quick ways to do so. the dream bordered on nightmare, it was so horrific.

7. ok. now i think that's all.

8. oh. in keeping the conversation going about my new wardrobe colors, last night i had a vision of myself wearing the red plaid shirt WITH the orange scarf. how crazy is that? 9 days into the new year and i'm already a new person. this broadening of my wardrobe colors is blowing my mind.

9. alright. i can't think of any other ways to make this longer.

10. my number 10 is my goodbye. i hope you have a wonderful saturday night. be safe and have fun. you may be going out to a crazy party, or out with friends, or heck, maybe you even have a hott date. have fun. drive safe. drink lots of water. love you.

until next time,

<3.

to keep me on the top of your mind

so, i wasn't going to blog tonight. i admit. i was tired. and i wanted to go to sleep early. but, it's 1:40am. and i got tired of not blogging. alas, here i sit.

had a good day. busy day. busy night. work. work. work. and some more work. it seemed. and after i was so happy to be home after a super hectic night - i was called back down to work.

i cooked dinner tonight. pork chops. i had never cooked pork chops before in my life. but, now i have. i don't really like pork. but, everybody ate them and actually really liked it. so, that was good. i used an old recipe dating back to the beginning of time. you may know it. it's called 'Shake and Bake.' but, i didn't shake. i dipped. and baked.

i was burning cds last night for one of the residents here and she wanted the song 'Shake It' by Metro Station. and i debated whether or not i would switch it out for 'I'm Shakin' by Rooney. they sound pretty similar. except the Rooney song is way better. and instead of being sung by Miley Cyrus' bro, it's sung by Jason Schwartzman's bro. again, way cooler.

and, i just have to share this with you - i downloaded another song for her. it's a song by Ludacris. and, it's called - wait for it - Blueberry Yum Yum.

BLUEBERRY YUM YUM.

THAT is the name of a song. are we 2 years old? nay, 1. 2 year olds have better language skills than that. come on. what the heck could that song be about??? yogurt?? muffins?? pancakes!?! really Ludacris? REALLY? you HAD to name your song Blueberry Yum Yum?

THAT'S a dealbreaker. if a man names a song Blueberry Yum Yum - that's a dealbreaker.

and that was my Liz Lemon impression. also - Ludacris was so good in Crash. why does he have to go name a song that?

just call it Blueberry.

anyways. i once again downloaded a lot of songs that i am ashamed of. titles that i will never repeat. songs that i will NEVER listen to. i can't understand how people can listen to hip hop and rap constantly. probably how some other people can't understand how i can listen to Crash Kings for 3 days straight.

SEGUE.

speaking of Crash Kings.....THEY'RE COMING BACK TO BOSTON!!!!! on 31 january. that's in just a few weeks. I'M GOING. are you going? I AM. $9. NINE DOLLARS. that's like, free. that band is worth way more than nine dollars. that's less than i paid for their whole cd on itunes.

this is their SECOND EVER Boston show. their first boston show was with Rooney. the one that we saw. cool, right?

OH. i'm super excited. i will wear my red plaid shirt. when i get it.

Crash Kings have wonderful songs about being outside. i realized that. they have a great song about winter, a great song about a rainstorm, and a great song about climbing a mountain.

yeah. i'm really excited. they're going to be so famous. soon. in like, five minutes pretty much. yeah. so great.

and i learned that the Clavinet that Tony plays is one of 100 in the whole world. that's crazy, right? yep.

anyways. it's 1:58am. i should just stay up. the food delivery will be here soon. well, it comes at 7:45am. usually. still way to early. why does food need to come that early? i don't know.

ok, i admit it. i'm kind of looking forward to seeing my friend who delivers the food. remember last month he told me that he quit smoking? that's when we became friends. i see him once a month. that's more than i see most of my friends.

i don't think i have anything planned for today. or this weekend.

oh wait - yes i do. today i am having a Princess Diaries marathon. YEP. you read that right. PRINCESS. DIARIES. MARATHON. i have the second one from Netflix and then i thought, "i should just watch the first one too and make a day of it!" so good. i'm looking forward to it.

OH OH OH!!!!!! omg, i can't believe this wasn't the first thing i talked about.

JULIAN CASABLANCAS. on Letterman. happened wednesday night!! did anybody watch? i've had his performance as a tab in my Firefox browser alllll day so i wouldn't forget to post it for you.

Julian Casablancas on David Letterman performing, 'Out of the Blue.'

the sound on the video is a little quiet. but, the performance is amazing. so many people on stage creating that beautiful song. that's my favorite song. loves it. it just looks like a bunch of people got together and said, "hey, you wanna play this song? yeah? great! let's go!" there's two drummers, two keyboardists, two guitars, and one Julian. awesome.

he's in Boston TONIGHT. friday night. YEP. am i going? nope. bummer man. i would have gone if i had enough notice and someone to go with.

ugh. okay. now i'm not looking forward to the food delivery. i would rather sleep instead of carry freezing, heavy boxes of food at 7:45 in the morning.

i think i might go to bed soon. i was tired all night at work. my alarm didn't go off this morning again. i've been using the alarm on my cell phone. it is so lame. it will randomly shut itself off. without ever going off. i don't understand it.

i wish i had some ice cream right now. raspberry chocolate chip ice cream. i haven't had that in a long time.

(omg i'm so excited about crash kings in boston i can't even stand it)

ahh, alright. i guess it's that time of night. the time when i go to bed. 2:29am.

Ruby has been trying to get me to go to bed for a while. she's tired. and she was sleeping on the couch when i was watching a movie, but then i got up, and she had to get up too. and then she was all mad that i got off the couch.

interesting, right? yeah.

so. oh yeah. i was going to bed.

ok. have a wonderfully perfect friday. i hope everything goes just as it should. i will be sad that you're not here with me watching my Princess Diaries marathon. maybe i'll make popcorn. i'll let you know how PD #2 is.

love to you. talk to you soon...

1985

that's how much my purchase at JoAnn's Fabrics came to this afternoon. the lady said it to me and i immediately wanted to start singing the Crash Kings song, '1985' to her.

anyways. i feel like i wanted to blog about something quickly before work. but now i can't remember what it was. it might have been the 1985 thing. but that's kind of a boring story. there must have been something else.

just got back from the post office. walter assisted me today. love him. not the ruggedly handsome one. he's a great guy too, though. as are all the postal workers at the lebanon post office. they could totes handle a drive-thru.

i already blogged about Julian Casablancas on Letterman tonight. this is his most recent tweet: It's the first time the David Letterman studios have been warmer than the outside temperature ever.

i'm so excited for all the david letterman watchers tonight!!!! and i'm pretty bummed that i can't watch it. well, i guess i could. but that would mean leaving my apartment and sitting in the second floor lounge again. and after i did that all night the other night, i kind of don't want to again. i'll reserve that option for REALLY important tv nights - like the Golden Globes in a few weeks.

went to bed last night at around 4:30am. not too bad. i had intended to go to bed right after i stopped watching Entourage at 2:45am. but, then i just wasn't tired. but i was still able to get up by noontime today.

i'm in a really good mood today.

and i'm wearing lots of pink.

and i modeled my hairstyle today after Michelle Williams at the 2006 Oscars. yep. you're jealous, aren't you? i would be jealous of my hair if i saw it on the street.

man, i feel like there was something big and important to tell you. but, i guess not. i guess it was just my feelings of extreme excitement and happiness.

OH!!!! here's something.

i saw a man wearing a red plaid shirt today!!!!!

yeah. that's pretty big.

last night was a super quiet night at work. no calls.

umm. what else? what do you have to tell me? anything exciting?? come on. there must be something.

i took a nice bath last night. i've found a way to wear those little ipod headphones so they stay in my ears. wear them upside down and on the opposite ear. trust me.

umm. it's 3:19pm. i have to be at work at 3:30. i hope it's quiet tonight. it should be.

so, Sam Mendes is directing the next Bond movie? i'm not sure how i feel about that. it could either be REALLY good or REALLY bad. and also, why are they still making Bond movies?

i just sent a tweet to @crashkings. i wasn't very nervous about doing it. i feel like i know them because kara and i were in line in front of their parents at the show. we'll see.

ALSO, if people are on twitter, i have ONE person that you all need to follow.

@ALECKSU

alex greenwald from phantom planet. he is the best and most funniest tweeter ever. he always makes me laugh. it's sometimes very much like a blog video in written form.

ok. 3:27p. i guess i have to go to work now. excited to see courtney.

GREAT!!!!!! i'm in a good mood today, so everything will be fantastic. right? RIGHT!!

ok, LET'S GO HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!!!

<3

letterman + casablancas!

TONIGHT! WEDNESDAY! 6 JANUARY 2010!!

JULIAN CASABLANCAS WILL PERFORM ON DAVID LETTERMAN!!!! TONIGHT!!!

i can't watch it - BUT YOU CAN!!!! it's going to be awesome, i know it. don't you want to hear some good music?? YES! YES YOU DO!!!!

and that is all. (for now)

"you can't say you'll start a revolution"

i just learned that in the year 2009 i blogged 296 times. keep in mind a few things:

1. that is from THIS blog, on Blogger. i didn't start this blog until the end of March. i still had the livejournal.

i just checked over at livejournal and in the first three months of 2009 i blogged 113 times.

113 + 296 = 409

that's a little over one post every day for a whole year......... i feel pretty good about myself. some people may look at it like, "wow, she has no life. she blogged 409 times last year!" but no. i look at it like, "wow, look at the interesting life that i lead! i just want to tell everyone about it!!"

or i guess it could be, "she has no friends so she has to blog more than once a day."

but, there are some days where i don't blog at all! that means that other days i blog way more than once.

remember that week last august where i blogged 22 times? yeah. there are seven days in a week last time i checked. not 22. that's like, almost a whole extra february.

ooo wouldn't it be great if there were two februarys!?!? then i would have two birthdays a year!!!!

OH!!! here's something that i want to talk about. it's important, so listen closely.

you know how i like to talk about the laws that i will put in place once i am president? WELL, i've thought of a new one.

let's review them:

1. drive-thru post offices
2. alphabetized grocery stores

AND - WAIT FOR IT.......

3. every person working in this country will be entitled to a PAID HOLIDAY on their birthday

yes. you know how every employer is different with what they consider "holidays" and what they don't. there are the big ones like christmas, thanksgiving. and then there are the weird ones like 4 july, labor day.

WELL. that will stay the same. what will change, is that ON YOUR BIRTHDAY you will get another holiday.

so say a company gives their employees 7 holidays a year. well MY LAW would give them 8, because everyone has a birthday, right? it doesn't matter if you're part time or full time - you'll get the birthday holiday.

will this be a day off for school children? NO. stay in school! get an education. it's the most valuable thing you'll ever have.

BUT, say a high schooler works a part time job after school and it's their birthday, they will still have the holiday from work, but not from school.

isn't this a great plan? i think so. i felt totally brillz when i thought of it. i think we've got three great new laws that the american people will be thrilled about. except maybe not postal workers because now they'll have to mind a drive-thru as well as normal duties.

eh, they're government workers. maybe i'll give them all a raise. then more people will want to become postal workers, and they can hire specific people to ONLY work the drive-thru. that way there will be sufficient staff coverage at both the walk-in postal window, the mail sorting room, and the drive-thru.

it'll be like a fast food restaurant. there will be people working for JUST the front and JUST the drive-thru. i think it could totally work. and it could be really efficient if it works well.

BUT ONLY mail pick-up. if you have to do ANYTHING other than pick up your mail - go inside.

man, i can't wait until i am president. you should be excited too. i'm also going to do things like

1. abolish the death penalty
2. legalize gay marriage
3. make guns illegal

yep that's right - illegal. do i think people should have the right to own a firearm? no. why does anyone need a gun hanging around in their house? to protect themselves? well, if nobody owned a gun, then nobody would be afraid of having to protect their family from "those gun-crazy neighbors."

people might not support me in that. but, we'll really play up the birthday holiday during the campaign.

i'm also going to support a prison system more like Norway. or, Scandinavia in general. their belief is that, "If you treat people badly, they will behave badly. Anyone can be a citizen if we treat them well, respect them, and give them challenges and demands."

great. now that's we've once again cleared up my presidential campaign.... let's move on.

SO.

i went to bed tuesday morning at 8:30am. set my alarm for 11:45am.

woke up at 12:05pm. i had a new voicemail. it was Diane saying that staff meeting was not going to be at 12:30pm because there was another meeting in the meeting room. she would let me know when we were ready to meet.

all i heard was, "julie, go back to sleep! we're not having staff meeting right now!"

so, i went back to sleep.

and didn't wake up again until 4pm. i saw that Diane had called me again at 1pm, to let me know that staff meeting was happening now. but, i never even woke for that call. the phone was right next to my bed! and i didn't even hear it. and, wow, i slept great!

i woke up at 4pm feeling quite refreshed and happy. spent some time online. then made a pot of coffee and a bowl of oatmeal and sat down with Ruby to watch some Entourage. i have one episode left of season 2.

the end of season 2 is prime Ari Gold material. he's so freaking good. Jeremy Piven. i would marry him if he asked. (fyi, jeremy..)

now, it's 11.16p. i'm getting hungry again for supper. i think i will have my leftover sub from when i visited my dad on monday. that sounds good.

and probs watch some more Entourage.

i didn't get to the post office today. i will go tomorrow. i should have some Netflix!! here's what i'm getting:

1. The Accidental Husband (YEP.)
2. Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement
3. Tell Me You Love Me, season 1, disc 1 (Andrew's recommendation)

OH OH OH OH OH!!!!!!!!!!!

guess what i ALSO did today?!?!?!?!?!! omg, you're going to be so proud. I AM so proud. i have completed one of my New Year's resolutions. which one, you ask?

1. wear more red plaid shirts

YEP. that's right friends. i bought a red plaid shirt this afternoon. online. okay, so i technically don't have it yet and i'm putting my faith and trust in the USPS that i do get it. but still. it's out of my hands.

i'm just amazing. 5 january and one resolution checked off. nice. AND, the shirt has a ruffle on it. so yeah. that should be two resolutions:

1. wear more red plaid shirts
2. wear more ruffles

but, i didn't. i'm pretty excited about it. once it arrives, i'll let you know. and i'll post a picture of me WEARING the red plaid shirt. totally hott, right?

i was youtubeing 'crash kings' today and found this amazingly awesome fantastical video that i must share with you.

i re-read my crazy blog entry about Tony from last night and realized that i said one of the reasons i loved him was because he played the clav. and today during my re-read i thought, "i wonder if there are any great videos of him playing." hence my youtube searching.

and i found one. and it rocks. the video is called, "Evolution of Guitar Rock - With No Guitars." because the clav is essentially an electric guitar in the shape of a piano.

or, not just in the shape of a piano. but IT IS a piano. or, a keyboard. it'd be kind of funny to watch someone try and play a huge, rectangular guitar.

but no, it's a guitar that is a piano. and it's called the CLAVINET. NOT what i played in the school band. that was a CLARINET. (ugh. the clarinet.)

ANYWAYS. it's an awesome video. he's got the clavinet on top of his normal keyboard. and Crash Kings play popular rock songs, and you hear the electric guitar, but it looks like he's playing the keyboard. it's very strange. but very beautiful. and you get some great shots of his totally hott tattoo on his left hand. if you don't watch the whole video, just watch like, 30 seconds. just so you can see how cool and crazy it is.

ok. is that all?

i like how each of my entries from my awake overnight began with, "i don't really have anything to tell you" and then i went on blogging for like, two straight hours.

i kind of always manage to tell you things. i don't know if you read them. or if you particularly care. but, i guess that's the point of a blog? to write about yourself.

oh, is that the point? i've only been doing this for five years.

i hope i look good in red plaid. what if i look terrible? will that be considered a failed resolution? or just a bummer resolution? i guess a bummer one. because, i will have completed it.

actually, the resolution clearly states that i want to "wear more red plaid shirts" and not just, "buy a red plaid shirt." so, i guess that would be considered a failed resolution.

step 1. buy red plaid shirt
step 2. wear red plaid shirt often

in order for the resolution to be considered complete, i will need to wear the red plaid shirt frequently. at least once a month. that will be 12 times in 2010.

but then again, it's my resolution. i guess i can change it. or not change it, but alter it to fit my daily lifestyle.

oh, i don't know. i guess there are no resolution police.

ooo that might make a good action movie. RESOLUTION POLICE. No resolution is too small. Opening New Year's Day 2012.

we'll need a great action/comedy during the year that everyone thinks the world will end. don't you agree? i think Resolution Police will star Owen Wilson.

here's how the trailer will go down:

FADE IN:

INT. NANCY'S HOUSE - KITCHEN - DAY

NANCY sits at her kitchen table, staring at the Snickers bar that lies in front of her. She is middle-aged, wearing a flowery printed blouse and yellow cardigan. She is plain, yet recognizable.

NANCY (V.O.)
I know I shouldn't eat this candy bar. I promised myself. I made the resolution. Come on, Nancy, it's New Year's Day and you're already having this debate. There should be no debate. How am I going to last a whole year when I can barely last one day? I knew I couldn't do this; it was a joke to even make a resolution this year. I never keep them -

We hear a loud CRASH from the other room. Nancy quickly looks to see what it was.

INTERCUT - INT. FRONT HALLWAY/KITCHEN

A MAN stands on Nancy's front door, which he has just broken down. He is wearing a SWAT team uniform. He stands with his hands on his hips. Only his eyes move to look in the kitchen.

MAN
Nancy, you gonna eat that Snickers bar?

NANCY
Uh, um, I was thinking about it.

The Man walks into the kitchen, takes the Snickers bar off the table and walks out while saying:

MAN
Not if I have anything to do about it.

As he walks away, we see the words 'Resolution Police' printed in white letters on the back of his uniform.

Nancy sits, puzzled.

END TITLES.

it's really just a teaser. i see Margo Martindale playing Nancy. she's the lady in the "american tourist alone in paris" segment from Paris Je'Taime.

i don't really know if that script format is right. i just kind of winged it from what i remember. i can totally picture Owen Wilson in that role. he's gonna be great.

anyways. NOW that i don't have anything else to talk about... haha. after writing a script for a teaser trailer. i couldn't come up with a name for Owen. so, that's why he's just MAN. (should be HOTT MAN, am i right?!)

but, he'll need a partner, obvi. either an older, wiser partner. or, someone in some sort of minority group. hey, that's how it usually works.

maybe Morgan Freeman. he might fit well with Owen. they could be funny together.

OKAY. ANYWAYS. now it's 12:17am and i still haven't eaten supper. i'm hungry now. a lot.

so. i'd love some teaser trailer feedback, if you don't mind. i sometimes think that i would like to make it my job to direct trailers. like, piece them together. direct? edit? i don't know. make them. i would like to make movie trailers as my job. like Cameron Diaz in The Holiday. i bet it would be a hard job. but fun.

have a wonderful day. a wonderful wednesday. i'll talk to you later!!
