video store owning, cardigan wearing girl

okay, that's one of my dreams. to own a video store. and wear a cardigan while working at said video store. i don't know why. but, oh man, it would be the coolest video store on the planet.

AND.

i was just looking for a part time job online, and found something even better. a business opportunity that reads: VIDEO STORE FOR SALE IN GRANTHAM, NH. and then it gives a phone number. grantham isn't that far! that's where i used to drive the toddler to daycare on thursday mornings. and that's where i stop at exit 13 and go to Dunkers.

who wants to go into business with me?!?! i'm hoping Kara will say yes, that way there can be a hip coffee and pastry bar inside the video store. but everyone is welcome! if you have a business opportunity that you've always thought would be awesome, let's do it together!! or, if you've always dreamed of owning half a video store - the time is now!!!!

OR! EVEN BETTER! if you've ever dreamed of selling your handmade products inside a video store - this is your lucky day!!! let's do this!

it would be the most hipster video store ever!

that's what every town needs. a good locally owned video store. man that sounds like the best thing ever. to hang around and let people borrow movies all day.

anybody play live music??? you could play alllllll day in the store!!!! a perminent gig!!!! PERM GIG!!

oh this sounds glorious. such big dreams have i.

no other jobs online. unless i want to sell cars or become an HVAC design engineer.

the lady who came in from the state today had the biggest diamond ring on her left hand. i sat next to her during our residential interview and i couldn't stop staring at it. and she was a very animated, over the top speaker, so her hands were always waving around. and that diamond just kept catching my eye. it must have been like, 2 carats. it was huge. okay, maybe 1.5. actually, looking at this diamond chart, it may have only been 1.25 carats. that's still a pretty big diamond.

that lady was crazy. her cell phone went off during our meeting and her ringtone was Sweet Home Alabama. it was really funny. and then she actually answered it! she was like, "yeah, i can't talk i'm in a meeting." it was strange.

watched another disc of Entourage tonight. aw man, Ari Gold. he almost made me cry tonight. him trying to get his son into the private school. and then before that, chasing after Lloyd to get him to come back to work.

i'm excited i get to sleep in tomorrow. i'm tired after my 12.5 hour day of working. i think the heat makes it harder. super easy, though. the girls are upstairs by 7pm watching tv in the lounge. they're like, "call up to the lounge if i have any phone calls." i'm like, "yes. is there anything else i can get for you?"

i'm gonna go to bed soon, i think. i want to try and get up semi-early to go to the post office. i'll have a netflix waiting and since i'll be gone thursday, friday and saturday, i don't like it if they sit there.

THE OTHER DAY (did i tell you this?? hmm...) i was in the post office waiting in line to get my Netflix (because they give you a package slip type thing instead of putting them in your box) and the lady who works at the post office went and got my movies before i even got up to the counter!!! SHE KNEW MY BOX NUMBER!!!!!! omg this made me sooooo excited. she is like, a person i kind of know!!!!! i think her name might be Karen. actually, i have no idea. she looks like a Karen.

although, i do wish it had been the ruggedly handsome postal delivery man who knew my box number. that's like, some sort of craigslist fantasy.

hm, what else can i tell you so i can procrastinate going to bed so early?!?!!?

i wore my CITIZEN pin today. i got two compliments on it. that made me happy. and it made me think of Aliya.

i've been wearing this ring that i bought in Woodstock, Vermont. i bought it with my mom last friday when she came to visit. it was in the $5 bin in some upscale jewelry store. i totes love the ring. it's like, this odd shape that at first reminded me of a wave, then a wing, and now a feather. it's kind of airy like that. i think it's really pretty. and i like it with my blue nails.

overall, i like having blue nails. i feel like nailpolish is a subtle way to go crazy. if someone notices, great. if not, then you're still the same you. my blue nailpolish is kind of spacey.

so, poor Ruby Tuesday. she had to be alone here all day. i could hear her crying at the door as i was walking up my stairs. she was so excited to see me. then we had a really intense playing session in the living room. i got out the catnip, the leopard print toy, a pink thing, and the round thing with the ball. yeah, things got pretty crazy. and then she got really tired.

but then! when i was getting out the box of tea to make myself a cup, she jumped into the recycling closet and hid behind the boxes. and i could hear her tearing up the cardboard with her teeth. and then finally after like, 5 minutes she came out again. but, i explained to her that there are tin cans and glass bottles in there and that is danger because she could have cut herself. i think she was just happy to be held. and then i gave her some treats and she ate them immediately.

lately i've been noticing that i share all of my food with her. like, all of it. if i'm eating something, i'll give her a piece and she'll eat it too. and then last night i did something kind of crazy.

so, i had these yummy crackers during medication recertification yesterday, and i brought a couple upstairs with me. Ruby Tuesday immediately saw that i was eating something and wanted to know what it was. so, i broke off a little piece of cracker and put it on the floor. she immediately ate it and then looked up at me, wanting more. and then before i knew it, she had eaten like, 2 whole crackers. they were good sized crackers too. like, a bit bigger than wheat thins, but in octagonal shape.

so then i thought, "well, i really like these crackers and so does Ruby Tuesday, so i'll go out and buy a box for us." i actually thought that. and then i actually did that. i bought a box of crackers to share with my cat.

then tonight, she shared my cottage cheese. she wanted some lettuce, but i didn't give it to her. she licked up some ice cream. she pulled a piece of a chicken salad sandwich off of my plate last week and ate it on the floor. same with some leftover chinese food. it's like, before i can even stop her, her paw is taking the food right off my plate. she's a funny girl. and i love her so much.

ok. now i'm tired.

oh! tonight while watching Entourage i actually related something back to my drug education class!!! so, one of the questions we have to respond to for the class is something like, "the state of california passed a law stating that any employee can be fired from a job if a drug test proves positive for marijuana, even if it is prescribed by a doctor. does this make sense?" or something like that. (yeah, it's not all hangman and jeopardy.)

and so on Entourage there's an episode where they go to a medicinal marijuana facility with a fake ID card to score some weed and to buy this hat that Johnny Drama really likes. it was funny.

and so i thought of my class because 1. they are in california and 2. they were in a medicinal marijuana office. i guess that's all. but, at the time i was excited because i thought, "hey! this is totes relative!" when really, i guess it's not.

another question that we have to respond to is something like, "if drug addiction is a disease like diabetes, then shouldn't we release all drug addicts from jail, since they can do nothing about it?" or, something along those lines. comparing drug addicts to diabetics.

and i'm thinking about this question like, "um, heck yeah we should release drug addicts from jail. people shouldn't be put in jail for being drug addicts, they should be given the help they need."

whatever. and then Teach posed this question: is a drug addict who commits a crime the same as a criminal who does drugs?

huh?

anyways. now i'm researching communism and socialism.

and now i think i'm going to bed. i'm kind of missing Fidel, Che and Celia being with me all the time. man, those were crazy times. i have to get a copy of that into the library.

alright!! it's 2:30am! i've procrastinated going to bed long enough. and now i'm off. it's been nice talking to you all day.

SCHEDULE FOR WEDNESDAY:

morning-ish: breakfast
early afternoon-ish: post office
3:30-10pm: work

and there you have it.

have a good night! or morning! or day! whenever you are, i hope it's a good one. keep in touch!

heart.
