Broken Hearts, Good Dinners, and Friends

i love it.  what a great title for something.

i'm doing some drug education work and i'm taking a quiz on Alcoholism and the question is:

Q:  What are some heavy costs of alcohol abuse?

and one of the choices is, broken hearts, good dinners, and friends.  i love it.  it's not the right answer, but it's a good one.

another great question is:

Q:  What does it mean to be "intoxicated?"

and one of the possible answers is:

-  to be in the middle of toxing.

i laughed pretty hard there too.  the correct answer is,

A:  to be drunk

i did really well on this alcoholism quiz.  i also did really well at the hangman drug identification game.  that was fun.  i didn't do so well on the drug education jeopardy.  BUT, i played the game until i got every question right.  eventually, i got bored so i thought, "hm, how can i make this game more fun?!?"  and then i saw the button:  add another player.

YEP!  so, i invented another player named Coconut, because i was listening to Coconut Records.  Coconut won the third round, and Julie won the fourth round.  way to go!

so, i'm all done with my required reading now.  i did the last two weeks of classwork tonight.  and then tomorrow i'll write my responses that were due like, 3 weeks ago.  and then i have to take a final exam.  YIKES i'm nervous.  i bet it won't be a fun jeopardy-esque game.  or hangman.  i bet it will be a real test.  and i haven't taken a real test since HIGH SCHOOL.  omg.  and i'm a horrible test taker.  oh geeze.  i hope he sees the results of the hangman games.

but, i'm happy that all the reading is done.  the reading tonight wasn't so bad.  kind of going over the basics of the last three weeks.  yeah, the last three weeks, which i've pretty much crammed into six days.  ah well.

i thought i just heard Christopher from District 9 out in the front yard.  it seriously sounded like that.  i am too scared to turn around.  although, i guess he was pretty nice.

okay friends.  i wanted to update you on my progress with drug education.

OH!  and the most important update of all:  what i got at the ice cream place.

i got coconut soft serve with chocolate dip.  and it was delicious.  at first i was going to get black raspberry, duh.  but then i rethought it and decided that coconut would be refreshing.

and then!  we were sitting eating our ice cream and it started to rain, but then the clouds broke and the sun came out and there was a GORGEOUS rainbow!!!!  and the girls were REALLY mad at me because i was getting so excited about the rainbow.  and they ran to the van.  but, i think they really thought it was cool, they just didn't want to admit it.

BUT ONE THING that i cannot stand about these teenage girls???  THE MUSIC THAT THEY LISTEN TO.  i feel like i'm one hundred years old or something.  i can't believe some of the stuff coming out of these singers mouths.  it's all rap and hip hop.  OMG i hate it.  uugghhh i hate it so much.  apparently, they are both huge Eminem fans.  and they're always like, "IT'S EMINEM TURN IT UP!!!!"  and i just say no.  they know that i don't like loud music to begin with.  and then on top of that, he's screaming about doing things that i definitely cannot repeat.

like, why does he have to rap about that stuff?  he's a good rapper, rap about meaningful things!  like, um, i don't know.....baby birds and springtime.  oh wait, i'm thinking about the rap songs that i have written and performed.  YES!!!

eminem could learn a thing or two about not rhyming anything to profane language.

ugh i just can't stand it.  and i'm always like, "I'M TURNING DOWN THIS MUSIC!"  if we're in the van.  because, the other thing they like to do, is roll down the windows, and then blast the music.  the super inappropriate music.  and i say 'absolutely not.'

that embarrasses me.  and i'm not apologizing.  either turn down the music, or roll up the windows.  nobody else needs to hear that.  especially when we're on our way to get ice cream and there could be young children outside.  come on now.

ugh that music.  so violent and so much swearing.  one day i should be like, "ya know what?  we're listening to my music today."  and then pop in some Celine Dion or something.  the soundtrack to The Motorcycle Diaries.  mmm that's good driving music, btw.

ALRIGHT, it's pretty much 9pm.  i have to do some charting and some logging and then i'm headed upstairs.  easy night.  let's do it again tomorrow!!!!!

have a good night

:)
